New TRD shift knob. Best $31 I've spent recently.

Hate to be bearer of bad news, but thats not true TRD. I regretfully picked up this exact one about 8 months ago on Ebay as well for about $30 for my St165. Reason i say this, is I have a true TRD shift know that came with my TRD quick shifter for my 6th gen and there is NO comparison. The actual TRD is true leather with nice tight stiching, the Ebay one has bad, weird, sloppy stiching and material in comparison. Also, on the true TRD the decals are flipped over, and face the same way on both sides, on the replica, one of the stickers is backwards.

Also why trd knobs are $50-80. Not $30. Still an alright knob for the money though, I guess. I was just personally pretty disapointed as it looked like a real TRD knob on the add, screw ebay.

^^ Lol. I know, don't worry. I just never have been a fan of a black plastic ball that pretends to be a shift knob. This one might not be real, but it's not bad value for the money. But mostly...

For sure i agree. I was mad at first, but then my buddy said he'd trade me his knob for it and I still couldn't trade even the TRD replica tongue.gif .

Mak- I had my suspicions that it was a replica when I saw the price tag, plus the eBay listing I bought it from looked like a typical eBay cheap replica listing. I has my suspicions confirmed when I got to see a real TRD shifter earlier this week. But I don't really mind that it's a replica. My only gripes were that it wasn't threaded and I wish it was weighted a little more but I'm still satisfied with it.

Tony- Its too bad you don't still have your stock exhaust. I'm actually looking to change mine to stock BEAMS exhaust and Nengun is being a huge pain.

I was told to go full 3" from the headers back... but then I just laughed to myself because I thought 3" wouldn't provide enough back pressure... am I right? kindasad.gif

I want to stick to my 2.5 or maybe 2.75" custom exhaust. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

PS - today I rolled my window up. Might not seem like too daunting of a task, but when you have no battery and power windows... well... its tricky to accomplish. tongue.gif

That's pretty much the plan, but we don't really want aftermarket exhaust. I'm just looking for a factory BEAMS muffler and the rest can be done anywhere.

Richee3 is a BAMF, no jive.

I have a 2.5" header back on my Beams with a small muffler (a little loud).
A 2.25" would be OK, but I would recommend a 2.5" with a bigger muffler.

Lol I don't know about being a BAMF, but I did get the ISCV cleaned. There was quite a bit of crust and a lot of greenish-brown goop in there. The car smells a lot better and opened up a little power. As for the exhaust, we're just trying not to get too loud. I've done exactly 0 research on it do I don't know of any good mufflers that would only be a little louder than stock. I've already got poly front bushings on the way and will have the Racing Beat end links ordered soon smile.gif It's amazing how the trip up there got a lot more expensive after we got home.

Try to get a set of 18x9.5 et35 with 225/40 tires and it was impossible to fit them in the front. The wheel stick out a lot! And the tires rubs a lot too. The only way to use this set up is if your car is raised i guess
