Power steering isn't mandatory in a Celica. I've driven without it and apart from the whining from the pump, I could barely tell a difference. Cruise, definitely not mandatory though it is convenient. A/C, on the other hand... Our BEAMS doesn't have it right now and I'm dying. Hopefully getting that fixed soon.

You get her back from the zaust shop yet?

Well just got a call fron the shop there just now starting on it
it probably cost around 250-300 on the exhaust now after closer looking
They have to mod the cross member alittle so theres roon for the tubing to go above it
That was an issue was afraid was gonna come up but hadn't yet but its all good tho so the exhaust should be done by noon yay

Jesus man, I would not let just some exhaust shop take my newly swapped car like that...not without me being there, that is.

Hope you get her back and fully running soon.

Lol this is about the 5th car theyve done for me so its not just a random shop for me lol
i know the guys an they do great work. They just like to play it alil on the safe side but its fine for now
as long as its done
I did just go up an look at it they have the rear bank done an the o2 sensor installed an were almost done on the front bank .so it should be done by noon

On a side note.. this car is stupid clean underneath there is zero rust an i mean zero not even any surface rust so im definitely going to try an undercoat her this winter so she stays that way

Lol im use to it
My old escort zx2 had the a/c,ps,cruise,an heater core was all deleted.
It was basically a stripped down track car that i dd for awhile

Sadly enough its had my fastest track time todate 14.3 in a quarter an that was with it spinning through 3 an having to let off to get itto finally hookup before the whole car filled with tire smoke

WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!? what are you getting a 3.5''-4'' exhaust?!?!?! there should be plenty of room for the exhaust to fit over the cross member. i would never let a shop "modify" the cross member.. are they havign the secondaries go over the cross member and then join after?.. and i know that you said that you would finish the exhaust later but if you are now going to spend almost twice as much and most likely keeping this one for a wile, i would have them make it under axle now.. i know.. your car.. but i think we all know how these things go.. smile.gif CANT WAIT FOR PIX!!!!

It sounds worse than it is
They basically just dented it to give some clearance there putting the y alittle before the shifter so they will y together with a good freeflow angle. Im ok with the price an the exhaust will stay this way till after the brakes an suspension is done so itll be there for awhile

I'm no expert but it sounds like something funky with your a/f ratio. 1MZ uses a MAF, correct? I'd pick up some CRC MAF cleaner and clean that. I'd also check for codes but I know that's not working out so well. Try resetting the ECU. It could be in limp mode since it has been running with the O2 sensors disconnected. I'm at work with limited time right now so I haven't been able to go back and see which fuel pump you're using but the stock pump might not be up to the demands of the 1MZ when it gets thirsty. Did you happen to notice any changes after the motor got warmed up?

The symptoms do sound similar but I don't believe the 1MZ is anywhere near as finicky as the BEAMS. Is there a certain RPM when it starts to bog or does it only do it under load? Every gear or just higher gears?
