Hello everyone, I'm glad to join a great forum. Been reading up on possible mods for my yet to be delivered 6gen. Can't wait. It's a 97 silver liftback automatic. Wish it was a stick but deal was too good to pass up and it might be passed to my daughter for school anyway.

Mods on tap;

Facelift bumpers
SSIII splitters front and back
JDM rear taillights
Projector headlights
DDM HID kit
Racing Hart rims, maybe BBS LM
Eibach Pro kit springs
Injen intake
Greddy exhaust
Upgrade sway bars
Upgrade strut bars
white indiglo gauge
Alpine head unit
MB quart speakers

Any advice where to source products is appreciated.

thumbsup.gif for Alpine Silver.

JDM tails from ebay or here. Front bar is stock, so just get a proper rear strut bar. I would suggest Sportline over Pro Kit springs, and I bought mine from Tire Rack. Intake can be had from ebay, a short ram for quick gratification, or a proper cold-air setup, which will take a bit more thinking to implement. Exhaust...buy the muffler online and then have a local shop make the rest of the bits in between header and muffler to your liking.

Welcome to the forums smile.gif Sounds like a good purchase and a solid list of plans. You can go ahead and mark the first thing off your list, as '96+ models already have the facelift bumper. Be sure to post pictures when you get the car delivered!

Thanks. Silver looks awesome. I might have to rethink the Pro Kit because it says only 1" drop.

The car currently has some funky vader bumper that's cracked. So my plan was to buy a new bumper for the SSIII splitter. Any recommendation for a clean front bumper? Definitely will post pics.

Thanks richee3, was reading on the forum last few weeks and you definitely are active on the forum.

Ah, yeah, definitely gotta get rid of that cracked bumper. The facelift bumper and SS-III splitters can't be beat. A very clean, subtle setup in my opinion. You might be able to find one in a junkyard or you can keep a close eye on the buying/selling forum here, you might get lucky and find a facelift bumper at a great price thumbsup.gif

Thanks mandrek.

Richee3 my first choice was the TRD bumper but I guess it's discontinued. I was looking hours on hours and couldn't even find a used one.

welcome welcome!

it is damn near impossible to find a trd bumper. i think there are 3 members on the forum who have it. one being 808.

go with pre or post face and modify with splitters from there

Thanks Tigawoods, glad to be here. So much info here specifically for the 6gen.

TRD bumper is such a sweet bumper. I'm surprised they are not all over the place. Andy's auto should be replicating that. I hear Doggy is the man for splitters, too bad he's not state side to even consider making the TRD bumper.

There are two different doggies? CDW is doggy, where is the other doggy located?

Good luck with your build, just finished reading it. What an epic build you got going. Parts from them would be final touches.
