Hey guy's, figured I'd start a project thread. I just picked up this Levin after 7 months of searching for one. They are pretty hard to find with a quality chassis this far north in Japan. This is due to heavy snow, and they use salt here. It needs a lot of body work and could use some TLC on the engine bay and the interior. It only has 126,000 KM's on it, and already has some work (gauges, POS sparco seat, coilovers) As of right now, it will be getting stripped down, banged out and painted dark purple. This thread will be going for the next few years, but we all have to start somewhere!

The paint and bodywork will not be done until march, so there will not be many updates until then.

Thanks man! You're not a true tuner until you use zip-ties and/or Duct Tape! LOL

I can't wait to give updates! Come march this will be my dedicated money pit. We have to wait until winter here though, It's way to humid to paint. Then it's off to get a roadworthy test... then the "track only" stuff might fall into it somehow... wink.gif

pandakid- Love your 86 man! I'm going to be completely new to RWD, but there are many tracks here that offer classes, so I will be hitting that up!

Some update: Decided to go traditional "Panda" on the paint. I am having some trouble finding some headlights and a stock front bumper though. The us market has kicked up the price for the whole front end on this car (fixed headlights were mainly available on the JDM ones). Body work is mostly done though! After the bumper gets in the rest of the black paint will go on.
