for some reason im always confused about where to place the jack stands i just wanna be safe and i dont wanna cause any damage to the car, so i need to know where is the safest and the best spot to place the jack stands(front end)?

Green areas under the rocker panels. suspension crossmember in green.

I wouldnt suggest the red circled crossmember though, I think it would be too unstable....

the cross member is heavily used by many. in fact its also shown in that diagram.

I use the side points right under the doors when I use my stands. Depending on what is removed, I'll either place a rim right next to the jack stand as an extra caution, or a jack in another key location. Stand up, shove the car a couple times...if its stable, should stay stable =P

Oh yeah I left this out.

If you use a jack under the rocker panels( under the doors) you have to make sure you dont lift UNDER the door. Try to put the jack under the door jamb

Yea there are little groves that specify where to jack the car at...hard to miss.

In response to your post, the jack and jackstand wont both fit under the 'specified' area.

Doesn't exactly say in the same spot now does it?

For us with lowered vechiles, I have to raise my vehicle up enough with the scissors jack at that spot, then I get my other jack out and raise at another point, usually the suspension crossmember. Then I put the stand under it, and find another spot for the jack depending on which side, if not both i'm working on. For safetly, not for the savior of door/panels. I rather wreck the door, then have the car fall on me, even though I'm not even using what you described.

Lol actually my first post with your post as a quote was an accident. I hit reply next to your post because it was the last one. So I wasnt even talking to you I was talking to the OP. Totally valid point though not to jack directly under the door because you will bend the door jamb if you jack under the threshold plates.

Just like you I will shove my wheel/tire under the door as extra insurance, though 95% of the time Im at my house and use a cinderblock instead. Better to **** up my wheel or car than my face.

you can put the jack in the rear spot....jack it up and the front comes up enough to sufficiently put a stand in...

stiff chassis ftw...

Thanx everyone for the replay, i wont be able to place the jack stands under the cross member im changing the rear engine mount so i have to remove the cross member, probably would be easier to use ramps but i dont like ramps & im gonna have to buy some eh.

Place the jack under the suspension crossmember, and the jackstands under the rocker panels. You arent removing the suspension crossmember, just the engine crossmember.

when u say under the rocker panels the inside part or the outside part of the factory jacking points?dose that make any sense?

good luck with the rear engine mount replacement > hated that one out of the 4. It almost me.

That sucks. do you have any advice regarding the mount job?

Well, options follow as.

1. Rock the engine til you can find a way to get it out.
2. Lower the suspension crossmember to gain a small amount of leeway.
3. Scream, kick, jab, slug, freak out, and eventually get it out.

Done it 4 times...I hate it.
