good luck with the rear engine mount replacement > hated that one out of the 4. It almost owned.gif me.

That sucks. do you have any advice regarding the mount job?

Well, jack the car in the same place you see my jack in the picture. Then place your jackstands in the factory jack locations (yes, where there is a notch) for the front wheels.

Remove the two bolts holding the front of the transaxle crossmember to the radiator crossmember. Remove the centerbolt on the front motor mount. Loosen the three bolts underneath on the rear of the transaxle crossmember, where it attatches to the suspension crossmember. At this point the crossmember is loose. Remove the nuts/bolts on the back of the rear motormount(I think they attach to the exhaust).

Now somehow find a way to remove the center bolt from the rear motormount

Thats the key right there. Hardest part is making sure the engine stays in place after your remove your mount bolts. If there is any tension on the bolt going through the rear mount, thats where hell comes into play, and has potential to tear the rear mount apart if you have plans of keeping it.

i took out the engine crossmember, loosened the suspension crossmember area, and then for the mount, wiggled and messed with it, to go in. use a jack to jack up the motor/tranny (dont damage anything), this will allow you to get some room.
