^ And we shall make sure the gears soldier on faithfully. She was a good ST. Sad though.

True true...

Thinking of taking the doors off and swapping those over. The GT has a little bit of rust coming up on the doors, and best get it now before its to late.

I would replace the fender that is damaged on the GT, but I ended up punching the ST's good fender this weekend..derp derp...gota work on that anger.

^ I maintain that your previous struts were done, the Sportline is really not a hard spring. Try Megan springs for a harsh(er) ride.

Yeah you're right, but the trd's don't lower the font as much so there is more suspension travel.
Also didn't help that one of my bump stops was completely gone!

^ Understood. Just saying, if anything, my preference would be to replace just the struts, so you retain the increased lowar and looks, and save on having to buy different springs...seems more economical and beneficial. As long as you're satisfied with it though.

Yesterday, I did this:

Dragged it against the exhaust of my brother's bike as I was backing into the garage. So if anyone has a noose I could borrow, I'd greatly appreciate it - it probably won't be returned. Also, if anyone would like a formerly clean '97 ST, you're welcome to it because I don't really deserve nice things.

At this point, I'd rather buff my face against the side of a speeding semi. I'm incredibly angry at myself.

I hate when this **** happens. Know how you feel though. Was over at cousin's house showing how to clean his car (he's 16, new to cars) and was going to buff and polish it. Was backing it up to move it over into the garage, was so focused on not hitting the car behind me ended up hitting the deck. mad.gif Luckily it only transferred paint off the deck onto the car, and was able to buff it out eventually. Still felt like a super idiot. Duplicolor has touch up paint, can make it to where you'd never know anything happened.

I'm not sure if anything besides a repaint will do, it is down to metal in some places. I was going to try to salvage it anyway, using touch up paint like you said...buffing...the metal around the the gouging is pushed in a bit as well, so it's not just pure surface stuff.

Keep it from rusting until you decide what to do with it. Less work for you

...watched my co-worker get hit by a stupid bitch in a Subaru who wasn't paying attention. She destroyed a beautiful VR6 Corrado... so in other words, I watched a rare beauty die today.

RIP.

Yeah, I'm afraid of what they're going to give.

Another view:

Unfortunately, the frame wraps into that fender all the way to the light and bumper. The car will be totaled and possibly salvage titled... which means no resurrection. Hopefully he'll make enough off the settlement and parts to get a new car that he really wants. The owner didn't take good care of her and my co-worker was borrowing it. He actually took better care of it (actually waxed and detailed it as well as working on the engine) than the owner. I wouldn't say he didn't deserve it... well... I have said it in the past, and now that he's lost it... I feel bad for saying it.

Anyway, I also re-wrapped some conduit and replaced some lights after I washed the Celica today in the rain. (Yeah, washed it in the rain... it had tree sap on it and mud...)

This photo was taken of me afterwards when I was sitting just talking to my roommate about the accident. Reflects the mood of the day:

Today my Audi showed signs of an oil sludge problem! I'm done after this...

CEL every 2 months, NO JOKE. Bought it at 50k, all maintenance has been done. Just last weekend, window motor died.. Random electrical problems all over the place, and now this possible oil sludge problem?!

I love the cars on paper and the styling is absoleutly beautiful. And they do feel great to drive, but they are so freaking problematic and Audi customer service blows.

Lastly, they suck to work on for the most part. And soooo much money.

But have fun with it biggrin.gif. The B7's are nice, I've never driven an avant or 6 speed but i have driven the 2.0t in a a3 and a4 sedan.

Electricals can be a pain in the butt, I had to rewire part of my 1.8T motor's harness.
But i'm familiar with VW/Audis and can do all my own work so its not a biggy.
If you're running into a sludge issue, run some seafoam in that sucker. What Audi is it and what oil are you running?

It's a 2005 Audi A4 1.8t. I use Mobil 1 synthetic every time with a Mobil 1 filter, every 3-5k miles.

I think it is sludge, because I got the good ol' oil pressure light come on then almost instantly off without being low on oil.. Although it could be electrical because randomly sometimes the ebrake light will come on then off while I am driving..and I keep replacing my ECT sensor, then a month later the CEL comes back on for the exact same sensor! Its literally driving me crazy, lol.

I do all of the work on it, I just don't have the time to drop the subframe, oil pan, etc. to replace the pickup line (if thats even what it is), which equals $$$.

You think Seafoam would work for it? I've been reading that it could, it just sketches me out.. Just like 1/3 a can?

Who would have thought I'd have a 2005 Audi A4 and a 1995 Toyota Celica and the more reliable one would be the Celica that is an inch off the ground with 220,000 miles on it?! Lol..
