Hey guys,

I'm looking for a Distributor that fits in the FE head that's better than our stock ones. I need one with at least a 24-1 wheel. I'm using an EMS so it doesn't matter if it's got a coil in it or not (MS-II has an igniter in it, so something like an MSD coil can be used) I just need something that fits our head. Maybe pre-rev2 distros? I think they had a 24-1 trigger wheel in them.

How is one Distributor better than another?

It will take him a moment to realize that he's about to make a 180 degree turn at speed, but you will be ready for it. Brace for the g's, and fast heel-toe work.

It's only better because I'm using an EMS... but technically a distributor with a trigger wheel with more teeth is better because it is more precise. It's all a matter of whether or not you've got an ECU that can take advantage of that.

Mine seems to be 4-1, and I see that there are some 5s-fe distributors that are 24-1 but they seem to be external coil distributors. That's no issue for me, the issue is that I can't find which nor where are the distributors with the 24-1 trigger wheel...

I own a GT, as my sig says. Sorry I didn't specify it in the post.

If you are going with Megasquirt then you will have a hard time getting any Toyota distributor to function correctly, at least from what I have read when I looked into this.
Your best bet is to convert to the external trigger wheel with ford coil packs.

I've noticed that... We're thinking about going 36-1 on the crank pulley. Just need to find the right machine shop who'll do it without messing stuff up.
