So I've been noticing that my air filter has had oil on it the past few times I've taken it off. It is definitely not anything external cause I've made a small heat shield on one side of it. The is oil residue on the piping when I take the filter off. Do you guys think it would be wise to get an oil catch can on my vac line?

How is your vac line from the valve cover routed? I only noticed oil on my pipe and filter when I routed the hose from my VC to the intake pipe instead from VC to throttlebody.

I believe there is actually a T setup I made since the intake only had one nipple on it.

So will it hurt my engine if there is oil getting in through the intake?

It will burn and stink... But as long as its not flooding, I wouldn't worry

It's not flooding the engine, but my air filter is soaked on the bottom side...and i mean soaked. i took it out, squeezed it, and there was a lot of oil that came out of it

My car is getting oil into the intake manifold and I have no idea why. Did you solve your problem? I'd like to know what was causing it.
