Picked up a facelift bumper an turn signals at the junk yard on friday
also picked up a couple short ram intakes an filters so ill be playing with intake setups on all the cars some alittle later today
Also picked up a cd player an battery but that all be under another post later

Well 1mz isnt over heating anymore

diagnosis? Just fix itself?

The overheating was a bad thermostat.
Haven't started on the oil pressure yet tho

So i got to lookin at the line for my oil gauge
It seems like the half closest to the motor was getting better pressure than the half leading to the gauge
so i conbectex the gauge to the first half an the psi went crazy
Went from 60to20to40to70 then the pressure dropped down to 20 an then i seen oil coming out the back of the connection on the gauge an the line broke
The connector was bad so im going to get a new connector an see what happens
I noticed the that when i revved the motor an the psi would drop i would see air bubbles coming out around the gauge connection an some oil leaking out too so im really hoping fixing the line fixs the problem

Well fixed the line an no change
But i desided to work on the intake some sl i can get colder air into her

been waiting for someone to do this(put the filter cone where the high beam should be).

Its a rough idea so far
Im thinking about just taking the glass off the light an molding a connector to the back if the light to feed air in
But my first idea was for the filter to set inside of where the light use to be an just make a block off plate to stop rain from getting in untill im at the track

seen integras with just a plastic cone sitting where the light use to be and the intake tube just sitting in it with something to connect the two. Never heard if it yeilded much gain. Sounded mean though. Ive thought of just removing the highs all together, molding one of the holes and putting in dual filament bulbs for the lows. Then run a filter to the high. Would be cool to actually see if someone could photoshop it or actually do it.

how shes setting for the night . Swapped the filter from the crv( yes i have a sri on my crv ) since its alittle smaller around an fitted where i wanted it to
Tomorrow im going to pull the headlight apart an start making a cold air box around the. Filter. Might not help make any power but itll sure make people wonder at the track!

If that headlight is good, I'll buy it! I have a leaky broken one you can use for mockup.

Well i dropped the oil pan an cleaned out the sludge an cleaned out the super clogged oil pickup line
now im just waiting on a new oil pan gasket to ahow up tomorrow
