ok i need a new windshield. due to the heat down here the crack spread like 1.5 foot and its right in my line of sight, so i need a new windshield, i need one with no chips/cracks, wiper haze/tiny pin holes is OK as i can repair that fairly easy. the celica at the JY some idiot broke the windshield so that is useless...i hate when people destroy junkyard parts... anyways send me a pm and i hope we can get something rolling.....yes i know its a big item, and can be a chore to ship. thanks guys!.

Sorry to hear about your windshield. Your best bet is probably going to be a local auto glass shop. I just had a new windshield installed in a 95 prizm for just over $200.00. Your time, parts and labor are going to approach that. Just as a hint, don't call one of the online middlemen call the local shop.

well i can install the glass myself, i know who to call and how to do it, sorry i may sound rude but im not meaning it that way, i just cannot afford 200$ right now so i need one cheap as possible. i know someone here has one but they dont want to take the piece of piano wire and remove it i guess i dunno. if anything ill go a few hours away and get one used.... and time dont cost anything, labor dont cost anything so it would be way cheaper to install it myself and remove it myself, need to remove it myself anyways and fix the rust holes the idiots who installed the windshield last created.....dont know why they did not prime the area after obviously hitting bare metal...

Opie i was getting quotes for ~ $180 installed... if you know anyone in the industry you might be able to get it for cost? which will be more like $125?

i dont know anybody in the industry, heck dont even know many people at all around this area. i did find one for 100$ an hour away so that might be my other option, just seeing if anyone here had one first then i can atleast get pics of the condition....i dont care that it is used glass as long as there is no big chips or any cracks.. wiper haze is fine as i said because i can remove wiper haze very easily. of course i dont have the best insurance so i cant get it replaced through them...and changing for a few months then changing back after repair would be fraud...

It is easier to just pay the $150 to have it professionally done. I do everything myself on my car possible but with some things its just better to have a pro do it.
