Thanks! I like it smile.gif The only short-term plans are to upgrade the adequately-nicknamed "Blose" sound system, then maybe some new wheels. Otherwise I'm just going to drive it and see how it feels in a few weeks, see if the power seems to wear off. It's a huge upgrade from the IS 300 though. It's an '04, AT ( thumbsdown.gif ) Touring model, everything but navi. I've had it a few hours but already the neighbors seem to love it.

I looked at an '06 6mt a while back, blue. I liked it but the dealership pissed me off so I ended up walking away from it. I kind of lost interest in getting a Z after that but this one popped up for sale locally. I went to have a look at it, found out that my Lexus now has title issues, let the girlfriend drive the Z, and we were sold.

The new Lexus. Was in an accident with the old 300 last November. Picked up this 400 back in early April.

It's a great car for cruising around, plenty of torque, you can drive in any gear you like at any speed smile.gif

Definitely get one of these:

Makes it sound mean and meaty biggrin.gif

Some 25mm spacers on the back makes a big difference to the looks too smile.gif

Ditch the seats and harnesses. Seats are crappy off-brand and the harnesses are not installed properly. In the event of a crash IF those seats actually held up, the harness would compress your spine due to improper installation.

Put in the stock gear and ditch the yellow shift boot. Then someone might be willing to pay $10,500.

Thanks! I'm loving the 1UZ, even with the boat anchor automatic bolted to it (for the time being) she still can turn those 275's out back! The rear wheels are getting widened to 11" then I'm going to stretch a 285 on them....just because I can smile.gif

Thanks. The car is still a ways away from where I want it to be. The black housing headlights are getting ditched for a set of OEM. The black ones are cheapo ebay lights that came on the car. I can't stand them. eBay parts do not belong on a Lexus!! mad.gif

I'd love to get a Popcharger. Seems like the best bang for the buck. The only catch is that I do frequent gravel road driving for work, so I'm trying to do some research to see how well it filters. I'll definitely look into the spacers as well, though I'm not sure how long I'm keeping these rims. Have you ever had the tire feathering issue with your Z? I have an early '04 model so I will be taking it into the alignment shop soon to get the toe set to 0 and pick up a new set of tires. These are almost worn down with no signs of feathering so I might get lucky and not have it too bad.
