put a front bumper on my car, replaced the ac hose on the bottom, put the windshield fluid container on the car, got a windshield, washed the car a little, put gas in it and then the radiator cracked!!!

Ha....give up now....j/k. If it makes you feel better, my radiator blew during texas emissions testing...idiots ran it up, reved n reved with no type of airflow to compensate, cracked radiator and did a half ass job cleaning the mess theyade. Needlesd to say I didnt pay a dime for the emissions test and reported them to the bbb. Also turned down their offer of replacing my rad to the tune of 500 dollars, thats discounted.

I realized today that my car is registered in Wise county, which does not test emissions. Which is lucky because I just failed emissions when I went to get a normal inspection by literally, a frog's hair. Just wasted $40... But since I tried, I get a 15 day grace period to get it up to snuff, but really, I'm just going to drive to Boyd and get an emissions-less inspection there.

Yesterday, I hit 163,000 miles...right after coming out of the break-in period for the rebuilt motor.

Today, I will probably fill the gas tank.

Thanks, but the credit goes to the shop I took her to - real quality work.

She feels great; I no longer have the hesitation upon pressing the accelerator nor the gutless feeling when I floor it. She's quick and responsive again and I hope will feel even better once I switch to a full synthetic of lower weight.

Also, you guys have any recommendations on what to use - I was using 0W-20 before the rebuild and with the engine being practically new I figure going back to synthetic would be wise.

Today I finally got the gaps fixed in the front SS-III splitters I just put on and noticed, as I drove the little woman to work in the rain, I noticed someone a few houses down from us has a clean, very well manetained, black, MKIII Supra Turbo. I think I need to make friends with this fellow. Oh God, with my luck, its a beautiful woman and mine will then spin into one of her jealous fits ...

Aside from the obvious color match, I agree.

That's the original Toyota logo and I like the color choice but the TRD knob is a rarity.

Yup, you're right Ferdi - I just checked my notes and it was 5W20. So, that's what's going back in the pan.

that is correct its the its the toyota katakana and it matches my color scheme the TRD knob while cool and awesome is TOTALLY worn out can't see it in the pic i posted but the whole top right area is discolored faded leather and the right TRD sticker is falling off, that's how it came when i bought the TRD short shifter (used but im not complaining) also the shifter knob has a a better feel to it at least to me and i just like it.

also in general the katakana is ALWAYS either white/red/ or black. so i contacted some people that make shift knobs and got it made in blue/white so i believe i am the first and only person with it as such.
