That's the original Toyota logo and I like the color choice but the TRD knob is a rarity. that is correct its the its the toyota katakana and it matches my color scheme the TRD knob while cool and awesome is TOTALLY worn out can't see it in the pic i posted but the whole top right area is discolored faded leather and the right TRD sticker is falling off, that's how it came when i bought the TRD short shifter (used but im not complaining) also the shifter knob has a a better feel to it at least to me and i just like it. also in general the katakana is ALWAYS either white/red/ or black. so i contacted some people that make shift knobs and got it made in blue/white so i believe i am the first and only person with it as such. Word, makes sense. Yeah, I knew that was the original logo.. -------------------- 2006 BMW 330i - 6 Speed - Dinan Stage 1

Nice getting it custom color coded to your scheme - that's dedication. \
Today, I placed a bid on some 7th Gen wheels. If I win them they'll become my summer wheels and I'll retire the tC rims to winter duty. -------------------- Has no more Celicas

Well I learned something new today! My japanese grandma would be so disappointed in me! You've also made me realize how desparately I need a new shift boot...and possibly a short throw shifter! Today, I wound up winning and buying those wheels: 125 bucks with tires...even if the tires are probably only going to last a few months. Today....well yesterday....I swapped my shifter from the 7th gen short throw to the stock 6th gen one. I have never driven with the stock one since I had the short throw in right after I finished my swap. Needless to say, I like the stock shifter better, but also because that one spring was not hooked up on the short throw so I had to put extra effort into shifting.

My fiance, like with the Ferrari 355 I parked next to the other day (add blew a load on), told me that it was an ugly 80's car and wouldn't ride around with me in it ..... the police with never find the body under the old stump in our back yard ....

No, she really likes 6 gen Celicas, Liked the 2001 Prelude I almost bought in it's stead, she says my car is "cute" . She just doesn't like 80's cars ... too boxy and too many lines ... I on the other hand, I LOVE 80's sports cars more than any other decade. 90% of my favorite cars come from that decade. Though she didn't like the 5 gen Celica Vert I wanted to buy her either. I gotta give it to your gf, I'm not a fan of the slam either sorry ... I really like the rest of the car and I know that that's what's "in" right now. I see it in all the mags. But I'm old school and never liked that. Matter of opinion .... thinking a Ferrari or Supra is ugly, however, is just sacrilegious! I had the same spot! Just put a ton of black sealant in it, got a piece of aluminum sheet metal, put more sealant on said sheet, used 8 self tappers to mount said sheet over said rust spot, and then put a bunch more sealant and undercoating on top of it all. Worked like a charm hahahaha |

RAN OVER A BOLT IN THE ROAD!!!!!!
Going to the police station in the morning to file an incident report, than calling my insurance to have the damage appraised and then going after the city for damages. Last week I replaced the down pipe and nothing was wrong with the car, now this...... Went back to the intersection with my room mate and found that the bolt is exactly the same as Boston uses to hold down their circular plates on the sides walks and in the road. There was a hole in the road where there is a missing plate about 25 feet from where I ran over the bolt. Pretty clear where this enormous bolt came from. Damges: Tire (sidewall, Look carefully you can see where the bolt went in) Rim (HOLE from the bolt) E-Brake cable (Cut into by said bolt) Caliper Bushing (Torn off) |

I feel compelled to try welding a new piece of sheet metal in there for the practice since I need to weld a few other spots on the car anyway... but with the 13 inches of rain we got here yesterday... I just want it to be driveable haha |
