When your driving down the road with your wife (or significant other) and she (they) points out another Celica, so you jump through traffic to catch up and wave, only to realize its some real real old guy driving, and they have no idea why you pulled up next to them......happened so many times.....
Or you convince your kid (daughter in my case) that one day you'll find that old rusted out 1st gen and restore together. With the catch phrase "It'll be yours when your old enough" only to wish you never said it. |

You know you own a Celica when there's nothing wrong with your car, but you keep insisting on buying parts for it. Thats like any car haha Maybe. I had a Mitsubishi 3000GT that I didn't even want to buy the parts it needed, so I sold it. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Thats like any car haha This whole thread is pretty much relevant to any enthusiast of any particular car, not just the Celica. People spend heaps of money and time on anything. Still fun though. You know you own a Celica when you decide its worth keeping even though it is FWD and there is pretty much no other FWD car in the world that you would purchase. -------------------- 2006 BMW 330i - 6 Speed - Dinan Stage 1

driving down the road the other day and my wife in her car behind me, passed another jdm celica in a parking lot with two guys in it, later my wife tells me when i passed them they were freaking out and the guy in the passenger seat was vigorously pointing at my car.
i would have acting the same way if my wife was in the car with me, but i was by myself so i was trying to play it cool |
