I have the one with the outlet on the opposite side. It's something that I keep forgetting about with my build. I should sell mine on ebay and get the right one. So I need the GSS-342

ughh getting sick of the walbro pump noise!! as far as aftermarket goes which brand can I go with?? I see two separate bosch pump that run for $80 on rockauto. Is the noise really that bad? I haven't started my car yet. Maybe that's why it came with all of the rubber in the kit. So it wouldn't vibrate on the metal that it is near. I used the stock rubbers because the walbro rubbers were too bulky. Can you describe how loud it is for me? Like when you're sitting at a stoplight with the radio on, how loud does the radio need to be so you can't hear the pump? Or does road noise cover it up when you're going 35mph? i'll post a video. I have an magnaflow exhaust and a 14" magnaflow resonator with no catalytic converter and you can hear it while its idling. I'll post up a video of it. I have a 99 Celica gt. With the radio on at normal volume you can't hear it.

Very informative post.
Turns out the one I purchased is a fake...no model numbers or anything. Looks just like those, but close examination...it is not a Walbro. |

so are there fake walbros out there WITH a brand on it? I bought a walbro from ebay, but it has the branding on it and the part number checks out.

Update on that walbro intank noise video? My friend installed one in his car, we were expecting a whirring fuel pump noise like in a race car, but it was dead silent

Update on that walbro intank noise video? My friend installed one in his car, we were expecting a whirring fuel pump noise like in a race car, but it was dead silent as requested. You can't hear it a bit more once the idle drops back to under 1,000 rpm. the car was still cold. I have a magnaflow 14inch resonator and magnaflow exhaust by the way. When I put my phone behind the rear left tire is when you can hear the whining the most. -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

our cars are older so sound insulation wasn't a top priority in production. Its not like i hate it, but when I want peace and quite i hear that annoying sound. sounds like your speaker when it makes bad contact with your wires and sounds like a turbo sort of. not really sure how to describe the noise, but it isn't pleasant
