Got my TRD QuickShift Kit in the mail at some point over the weekend. wink.gif (I was out of town all weekend; it was a welcomed sight to come home to)

So - I guess that means my ALREADY swapped 7th Gen Short Shifter assembly is going up for sale soon. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

The 5s with straight pipes, no resonator, no muffler sounds pretty beastly in tunnels as well, I love it!

I bet. I find the 5S to sound meatier, but less vibrant than the 7A.

Have any tips for getting that first tube piece out, the one that holds the shifter down? I'm going at it with pliers but getting nowhere...

I used this guide for the most part, Ferdi; http://www.twmperformance.com/manuals/1994...on%20Manual.pdf

Try a punch/screwdriver and a hammer... tongue.gif

That guide is a lot more useful than the 7th gen version I was using, thanks! Off to the ol' hardware store for a punch...

Changed the positive battery terminal, someone had butchered it and wiring at one point. Negative is still original though. Also, got some Marvel Mystery Oil to soak the third piston. Running it through the fuel freed up the other rings, figure a soak will get the last one.

Got back from Las Vegas for my 21st wink.gif

And washed my celi, as it seems it rained and had a small dust storm when I was gone.
Bought some new stickers for her as well, will wait to put on though.

yup just use a fitting punch, you dont necessarily need a hammer just whatever to hit it through. just pay close attention to the disassembly of stuff you might forget how to put it back. take pics if you have to.

That pin came out fine. I tried a few other solutions, a few drill bits with the same type of end, the punch worked best. The bigger pain are the cups left on the stock shifter, as I do not have a vise and so far, they're putting up a really good fight.

Often I do not have a vice around. I use straps and a hand rail, or something raised to strap it too. Works like a charm on removing struts carts

Nice! Where did you stay?

I just turned 21 last December but I don't have my Vegas trip planned till late September/October. It live up to the hype?

I just don't see myself as a Vegas person. I think I'll just stay home with Jack, Jim, and the Captain. tongue.gif

Okay, will try this method. Maybe if I strap it to something round, I can lock it down by forcing the upper mounting point down into the strap.

In other news, the swap process has officially started:

How does it feel to have the correct brake pedal, Ferdi?

Gratifying. My distaste for that work space cannot be properly conveyed, so knowing that only the clutch pedal is left to do is great news. Just freshly returned from Autozone with a brand new TOB.

EFF YEAH! If I can pick up the bolts and hose from Toyota next week, then I'm pretty much ready to go for the actual event. Should have the rest of what can be done beforehand mounted up by then.

Today I ordered my WRC GT Four front end conversion and a GT-FOUR rear spoiler. Exited because I'd been waiting for this day a long time.
