well i emailed the dude that where selling those projector head lights and asked him about the gt4 hood he had .he said that he is trying to make repelicas of the hood and intrested in fininding 11 people intrested in buying he also said if you wanna add anytho the hood they can make that possible. well let me get you guys his exact quotes.

"Unfortunatly this is not an auction for the 1994-1999 Toyota Celica Gt-4 Hood. BUT!!!! Since this hood is found no where in the states, and if you do ship it from over seas you have to buy the GT-4 front bumper so it will fit, I am putting a team of 11 people including myself together to do a group buy on this hood. The hood will be custom made for our US Celica's. It doesn't matter if you have a ST, GT, or GT-S; as long as it's a 6th generation Toyota Celica, like in the picture, you are eligable for this!! This body kit will be made by BodyKits ect. This is the only company I can find on the internet that will tackle our project! Again, We will be building the GT-4 hood for the 94-99 Toyota Celica's. This hood is sweet and looks fantastic. I have been searching everywhere for it and I know a lot of you out there have as well, so here is your chance to make it happen and have a custom fit direct from the factory!!! E-mail me with questions and comments at WE NEED AT LEAST 10 MORE PEOPLE TO EVEN ORDER THIS PRODUCT!!!! PLEASE E-MAIL ME!!! TELL YOUR FRIENDS AND ANYBODY YOU KNOW WITH A 6TH GEN CELICA. THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE TO GET THIS HOOD, IF WE DON'T MAKE IT, WE CAN'T GET IT!!!"

he replied my email with "We are talking 525 bucks!! Not bad in my point of view, to be the only few people in the US with these hoods! We can make any changes you would like to them if you want, give me your imput! Remember we need at least 11 people to go in on this!! So get back to me and say "yes" or "no"!!"

is this a scam?

you can go to your local toyo dealer give them the pt # for the hood, and they can get it for you for about 450 with NO shipping..why bother.

Yeah you can get the GT4 hood for $450 but thats not a direct replacement for our US celi's. He is talking about on that is a replica that would eliminate the gap you would have by buying that one.

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't do business with this guy, I don't think you can trust him but $525 wouldn't be bad if it was someone reputable.

i think i got my hood for 350$ plust 200$ for the hood vents.
the front bumper was around 250$ and add in another 200$ for misc parts.

the best part about the gt4 hood is how the lines flow into the gt4 bumper. it wouldnt look as good with the stock bumper. plus everything is made from very strong oem materials, so its worth getting the real gt4 stuff.

Why not just keep the hood you've got, buy the three vents needed, and then stick, fibreglass and cut holes to match.

That way you still have the lines meet up at the front, but will look like a gt4 hood. Surely this would be cheaper than getting someone to build a new one?

Yeah if you wanted the complete look you would bother - but then you're buying the bumper too, else it ain right anyway.

The cost of getting the hood scoop will probably cost a couple hundred dollars at a good shop. Then you have to include the price of the scoop. So it may be cheaper but his hood is still made of fiberglass which some people might prefer.
