Went and checked and had drained. Put plug back in and started fine, let it run for awhile then turned off. Pulled plug back out and didn't see any signs of oil. Went ahead and pulled all the other plugs and looked at them. Were ok, decided to go ahead and pour 4oz of Marvel into each cylinder and let it soak. Cleaned the plugs while I was at it, probably wouldn't hurt to go ahead and just replace them though. Since it'd be about $10 for all them and take under 10 minutes to do it. Not sure if was my imagination, but the car did seem to run better and smoother.

Good ol placebo effect. What was your issue? Oil on plugs? Or is it smoking on startup?

Stuck oil rings letting oil into the combustion chamber. Not enough to smoke, but enough to eat through oil.

All the exhaust bits and flywheel I've been contemplating getting for a while. It's too bad this stuff isn't cheap but oh well. Once it's all in, I'll get the poly bushings installed all the way around and get the car ready for paint.

Finished soaking, put everything together and ran it for awhile. Seems to be better, wasn't any oil on the plugs. Guess will check again in 500 miles. Discovered where all my gas has been going, still has the original gas cap. redface.gif I did get a kick from the TEQ logo on it though. Ordered a new gas cap, and PCV valve since the one that's on there was super-glued back together...

Indeed. Usually I'm not a fan of reds, but that's a nice colour.
