I looked at the pics and watched the video with the white M3 I quite like it. I'm guessing when you wash it , you have to be gentle with it

I've heard that before, but there is a clear additive that makes it slightly shinier as well more durable for washing purposes.

Long time lurker, first time poster and eager-to-get-started Plasti Dipper here.

Why such a big difference in price between these two companies?

http://murdermyride.com/

http://www.dipyourcar.com./

Also, what's with the murder my ride "specially mixed" vs. dip your car offering thinner alongside the plasti dip?

I'm so confused.

As far as I know, DipYourCar is actually partnered with PlastiDip. So prices and options are better with DYC.
I've never heard anything about murdermyride... I think "specially mixed" is B.S.

Go with dip your ride. I had my doubts but after lots of pricing they are the best option.

Still planning to do this soon, just got caught up on my swap.

I'm actually in the process of repainting my Celica with Rustoleum using a roller. It actually comes out really really good if you take your time. Once it's all done I will post full pix. I took some pix on my phone as a sample of how the paint looks:

And other laying out in the sun:

Thanks man,
To be honest it looks a lot better in person. It's not perfect, as I have been over every inch of every body panel 1000's of times sanding so I know all the flaws. When I take a day off from working on it and see how much orange peel and how sloppy some of the factory paint looks on new cars; it looks so much better! I'm only about 70% done with the panels. But I will post all the pix and an hd walk around video as well as compare it to a newer factory black car.

Yeah, I'll take better pics with an actually camera once it's all done. I'm leaving for a few day so I should be able to post them up next week end.

Yep rolled on with a foam roller. It actually goes on quite smooth. But in order to get a good finish like this you have to wet sand it.

For anyone interested I'm going to post my progress here so that I don't continue to hijack this thread.

I plastidipped an entire miata gunmetal. I used their new wagner sprayer and 3 gallon kit.
Super easy to spray. 3 gallons is just enough to probably do 5 coats maybe 6 on a celica

Only took 4 hours total

Doing a Porsche next biggrin.gif
