Would love to stick with Toyota but the RX7's are calling my name. But who will you call when the RX7 breaks down? Rotary mechanics are few and far between. Unless you're up for learning on how to work on them. What I'd have to do if I ever got one. I'd definitely would have to drive one for awhile first, to make sure I'd like it enough to justify learning how to fix them. There are a couple of rotary specialists here, so that won't be a problem. They're the same companies that sell them (with warranty). Ah, well you're lucky then. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Got towed home. Hopefully it was just the axle that popped out and not the clutch

Well today I did some calculations to figure out my gas mileage, and after I fixed my exhaust leak a few weeks ago, I am now getting about 28-29 mpg mixed from the 23ish mpg I was getting with the leak. Mind you that I have 238,XXX miles on my engine, with an ebay header, 2.25" exhaust piping, no cats or resonators, and then just a muffler sitting at the end of all of that lmao Proper back pressure goes a long way lol. I noticed the same thing too when I fitted my 2.25 axleback and fixed the leak up front. -------------------- 1994 Toyota Celica GT-S 5S-FE 190k Miles. I finally got my turbo out to realize what I thought was initially a seized turbo was a seized turbo plus a snapped off exhaust wheel
Lucky it all ended up in the cat, just resting on top. I can see why most people want to upgrade to steel wheels if possible. -------------------- - 1994 ST205 GT-Four WRC

Rear diff in my buddy's TJ ate itself. Spent a day removing the innards, and swapping with Cherokee donor parts. This was formerly a working spider gear:
Pretty happy with them, except for a few minor flaws in the product, which will have negligable effect on performance. Molding defects in the edges or something? Finally found out what this noise was on the passenger side front... One of the under plastics came lose...turns out the screw broke off on the hole, and I guess over time rusted the head off.
Couldn't get the screw out itself, even with an extractor...stripped my extractor. So I cut the plastic back. It'll be fine, something to deal with later. Brakes were also making quite the horrible noise on that side. So I removed the whole assemble, cleaned and greased it all up. Silent as can be...for now. |

Today I just passed a mileage that is a palindrome. The mileage on my car is 179971. I took a picture of it that I can post later.
On an unrelated note, today I declared my love to a girl who happens to have a boyfriend. It did not go well for me as apparently she is very much in love. A sad day indeed. -------------------- |
