Today i tried to put an anftermarket radio in. after installing the harness i plugged it into my car and it made a sound like a cd was coming out.
after that nothing else happend. it was getting dark so i put my stock radio back in and now that doesnt work

and my clock stopped working to!

Check fuses.

i put the new head unit in last night and it turned on. but two of the exposed wire from the harness touched and it shorted
so i replaced the 20 amp fuse in the fuse box and my head unit still wont turn on.. frown.gif

Check the fuse on the back of the head unit.

You may also have blown more than 1 fuse in that panel, so check them all with meter doing a continuity test.

Also, make sure the wires are not touching anymore, and you have a proper ground, acc, and 12v connection.

Want to say our cars have two fuses for the radio, then the fuse on the head unit itself.

Thanks for the help guys. I got all the connections wrapped up and i got it grounded.
The fuse in the panel was blown also.
