looking to buy another 6th gen celica. It's an st, and I was wondering if I can perform the beams swap into it? I was wondering if the beams would bolt up to the s53 transmission? I know it bolts up directly to the S54 since the 5sfe and 3sge are identical. If it does, will the S53 be able to hold the power output of the beams? Need someones help please?

The BEAMS will work just fine in a '94 ST. You'll have to drill holes for the passenger side motor mount, as with any other A-series to S-series engine swap. I'm sure the BEAMS will bolt up to an S53, although I'm unfamiliar with it. It might not. I can't say for sure about holding the power either, but I can't see the BEAMS chewing the S53 up. Why not pick up a BEAMS with the factory LSD S54 and not worry about the S53?

I've been looking for one with the 5spd on ebay. found one for $1399. which isn't bad i guess. What about axles? Should I use mr2 cv shafts/axle to withstand the power?

Stock transmission should be fine, people have used the stock transmission when they turbo their 7A-FE. The BEAMS only puts out 37 ft. lb. of torque more than the 7A-FE. Provided it'll bolt up you will be good to go, though the transmission for the ST is geared more towards economy than performance.

^ It wouldn't match up to the C52, since the 3S-GE uses an S-series transmission. Hence why he's trying for an S53.

Stock GT axles work perfectly.

The BEAMs does not produce near enough power to hurt that transmission. Your only increasing the power by about 80hp. That's nothing, considering you can run an S5x trans on an ST215 GTE at almost 300whp. Your clutch will go before the transmission does.

Ahh ok, I just saw ST and BEAMS and went from there. Being it's the S53 should be fine, considering then the torque difference between the original intended engine and the BEAMS is almost negligible.
