I'm jelly. I was going to start working on mine when I turned 16, but I had a 5.9 liter Dodge Ram and a month after I got it is when gas shot up to $5 a gallon. Sold the truck and got a red '96 Celica ST auto (MPG's FTW!) but I was already out of money. The Caddy had a 472 in it, 8 mpg downhill with a good wind at your back. It would have been an awesome cruiser but I just didn't find it practical to even attempt to fix. frown.gif

Yeah, just isn't practical to finish. If I had lots of money it wouldn't be a problem. But after spending thousands to finish restoration will need another few thousands to feed it. Plus now I want cars with a manual. Guess technically I could swap over from an Oldsmobile if I really wanted to, but that's just more work and money. Guess I'll have to be content with a wimpy 4 banger for now. frown.gif

I like the Celica, it's just I've had the Cadillac for a few years now. So more attached to it, really don't want to sell it. Not doing it any justice though currently, so it's time to let someone else carry the baton so to speak. I was actually planning on taking some of the proceeds and respraying the Celica. tongue.gif

Went to Pull-A-Part and found a '94 ST hatchback. Nothing of use to me except a passenger-side high beam.

I did take the front bumper off in 30 minutes - which I think, for my first time doing so, is admirable.

Will possibly put the new headlight and my SS-III grille in this weekend.
