Perhaps that value is with all fluids.

Even with that value, P/W is at .072.

Probably so. One way to know for sure is to drive it onto of those truck scales.

Those trucker stops should have one. Still 2,758 pounds being full of fluids isn't bad. Especially in today's safety and computer stuffed cars.

That is how Subaru/Toyota made it. Aftermarket manufacturers are trying to lessen the dip with mods and a tune.

that is a knarly dip in torque. its really affecting the horsepower. if that dip can be straightened out, i have no doubt it will raise the HP curve 20-25 more ponies. does this engine have any kind of VVT? if so thats where it would be tuned out.

It feels very planted - even for having sh*tty Prius tires on it.

Oh this, this I want to discuss. Why is the wear rating something like 140 or 240 when it's a low rolling-resistance design, neither a grippy tire? Baffled me when I saw that.

Yes the 4U-GSE motor has VVT. Someone will eventually figure out the torque dip. Its gone on turbo applications, but I'd like to see a N/A fix with mods in conjunction with a tune.

240 tread rating. I'm not going to worry about them for now. Too much grip and the car wouldn't be as much fun as it is.

I really like the car a lot but couldn't imagine getting one now with the family. The backseats have no room. If it was available back in 05-06 I would have bought it then. Enjoy it.

I'm not speaking of the grip, I'm speaking of the sh!t wear in conjunction with no grip; I am wondering why such a hard tire is so quick to wear.

I love the car, but I'm already starting to see them EVERYWHERE. I went into the city the other day for only like 6 hours, most of which we we're inside shopping. I must have seen 4 on the road and 4 sitting curbside at dealers.

I tried to convince toyota only to make 10 cars per state, and thats it. But they replied back, they have this evil scheme where they want to see some profits...

you should have suggested the idea to sell them for $300,000 and manufacture 300 of them

Ok, Ok ... touché. I just meant, I like driving a car that you don't see everywhere. For instance, when myself and a few of my friends went to London to go to college for a semester, the FIRST thing I remember after leaving the bus station (bus picked us up at the airport) was seeing a brand new Porsche 911 and a Ferrari 360 (this was in 02 so the 360 was still in production). We immediately took pictures of the cars. But as the days went on we realized that at least 50% of the cars we saw around there were Porsche, Ferrari, high end BMW and Mercedes. It got old. I ended up getting more excited seeing Integra/Civic Type R's and GT-Fours. Now, the 911 is right up there in my book with the 350z, Corvette (regular or Z06), Camaro SS, and Firebird WS6. They're nice enough that my eye picks them up, but my level of desire for them is a 2 or 3 out of 10; "It's just another ..." is what I say to myself. I'm even mildly like that to lower end Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Vipers (I'm around the Bills and the Sabre's players a lot and my uncle has 2 Vipers and a Ferrari). Point is, I don't want that to happen to the FR-S/BR-Z. I don't want it to become another TC/WRX that I see everywhere and think "Great ... another one of those ...".
