Hi All,
My downpipe has come to the end of its life and needs to be replaced. However I am unsure which downpipe I need to order as there are 2 listed on the internet. The parts are the Klarius 301969 measuring 950mm for the 6GC 1.8 from 6/96 onwards and the Klarius 301762 measuring 920mm for the 6GC 1.8 up to 6/96 and being sods law mine is right on the change over point so it is unknown which I have. The easy way to know which I have is to measure the length of the pipe but my problem is I am unsure how the given length is measured, whether it be flange to flange along the pipe length or in a straight line ignoring the pipe curve or how?? I did buy a performance kit from eBay which is a pile of pooh. The face flange for bolting to the block was the wrong way round so it didn't line up and the downpipe came out 6 inches too short. Any help given is greatly appreciated. Thanks Rob |

YES ITS BEEN DISCUSSED like 3-4 years ago. Do a google search next time. it will run 6 inches short. I had to drive my car to the exhaust shop with an open header and wow it was loud. The ebay companies should be that in the details of the product. perhaps you should email the sell and tell him that!! and the other companies as well so that other 6gc members don't run into this problem as well. thank you
