I can already tell it's going to need a paint job. Yellow is the worst color for longevity...

That alone shoots up immediate repairs needed to be done, and the 145k on the engine is well more than mine had when I purchased mine. And I paid less than that, and it was a GT.

Btw, mine was about 120k and I had a lot of repairs, including clutch, engine fans, radiator etc. BE SURE TO CHECK ALL THESE WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE CAR as they probably need to be replaced.

But yeah, if he's firm on 3500, I'd walk.

Well, after seeing this, heed my warning: don't buy a 6gc in puerto rico, the classifieds i saw 5 celicas between 4500-6000 range. Puerto ricans usually think they have gold in their hand's and sell cars here very expensive, hell, i found a 1981 mitsubishi champ for 1600, total insanity.

damn!!! yeah when i bought my celica i would always talk about how 6gc are notorious for oil leaks, and point out alot of other things that usually need replacing and try to lower the price. If they have body damage that you can just replace the whole piece or electrical i explain to them that 6gc's are rare at junk yards and its not as easy as it looks to fix them up so usually i can get them down there as well. If i were you, i would give him like 2500, explain to him that its a 94 celica, it probably goes through a quart of oil every week at the most, and pick apart whatever you can! ive done that and had 5 celicas in the past year, all cheaper than 2000 smile.gif

oh yeah, check the suspension, struts, brakes, everything you can negotiate on.
