Does anyone know if I can use a mr2 lsd tranny on my 94 celica ???? It has the 3sgte motor.

Yes but it has to be modded to work
Something to do with the shifter links on it are backwards or something like that
Someone else can explain it better
It's probably in the stickys somewhere too

e series transmission internals will not work on a s series transmission.

It will work and bolt up but the shifter linkage will need to be modded.

so as far as I understood only problem is the shifter linkage. what about the axles? am I going to need mr2 axles as well for that?

ok to clear this up. the MR2 tranny bolts up just fine but the linkage is on the front side and the selector shaft is set up for that. its much better to get the 2002 Solara transmission. it has the linkage on the back and the newest synchros.

What about v6 camry tranny??? I heard those stronger than 5sfe tranny's.

The camry v6 an solara trans smaay is talking about is the same one
An yes it is stronger than the stock gt s54 trans
Me like a lot of 3s swap guys stuck with the s54 to save money atm since it already works in my car

ok thanks for the info guys. last question if I get the v6 tranny do u guys know what clutch disc n plate use in? same as 5sfe tranny??

No not the same as the 5s
It uses the same clutch as the 3sgte

call southbend clutch. talk to Andy and have him send you the 1MZ clutch and flywheel. trust me this combination rocks!
