Can someone please post some links to places that sell front and rear strut bars for a 94 GT? I've been looking and found a few, but I'm not sure if they're the right size/fit. I measured the distances on my car, and they're definitely going to be different by a couple inches. Also, it would be great to have feedback on how they change the feel. Thanks!

www.ebay.com tongue.gif It's always a good place to start. You can get the rear bar brand new from Conicelli Toyota. You can keep an eye on our buying/selling forum as well, we usually have a couple of each for sale.

Edit: You have a '94 GT that doesn't have a front strut bar? It should have one, unless you mean you want the TRD or another aftermarket bar.

I want a good aftermarket front one, and a rear. What is a good front aftermarket one? and is the one out of the gt-4 a good rear one for the standard GT?

TRD is the best one for the front, it's a solid piece. Bars put together with bolts aren't as rigid as solid bars.

So... I got a couple off ebay. The front is a FET two point bar, and the rear is the TDR bar. I have a question about the front though. Could I possibly install the OEM one already in my car on top of the aftermarket bar? and would that even help? The reason I ask is the aftermarket bar goes from strut tower to strut tower, while the OEM bar goes from the tower to the car then back to the other tower. It seems like if I screw them in on top of one another I would get the triangle pattern of the more expensive bars and more stabilization. What do you guys think?

Like the post above yours said, it wouldn't quite be as strong as a solid bar. More importantly, you may run out of threads on the bolts by having them stacked. Then again, you might not.

TRD rear bar? Any chance of links? I don't think TRD made a rear strut bar but anything is possible.

so you got the FET bar, you should've at least got the cusco front and rear thick bars thats on sale now too. you could try to install it on top of the aftermarket bar if there is enough threads left. people here do that enough, but ive never seen how much threads are actually left. of course its not a true solid 3 piece if you do that.

I think he means Toyota rear strut bar.

^I'd bet he means the Toyota rear strut bar. I have it, you'll like it. A solid rear strut bar is a solid rear strut bar. I hope you got the leather cover and plastic end covers for it. They make a world of difference for looks, unless you like the sloppy hatch look They're hard to find by themselves used and $180 for the leather cover and $22 a piece for the plastic covers (at my dealer cost, idk what regular cost is) from the dealer.

yeah, pretty much acts kinda like a 3 pt strut bar. front was a bit stiffer around the corners.

yeah, I have a TRD one for the rear. It's good, and I would get a 3 pt bar but I use the trunk quite often so it would get in the way. laugh.gif

needs that space for dead bodys, not having the 3pt bar allows a 3rd body!

Yeah but it's hard to slide 'em under the bar when rigor has set in ...
