Hi All,
I bought a 1997 Celica GT convertible last week. My last Toyota was a 1984 T100, so this is a big change. biggrin.gif It has 122K, and two previous owners. The car seems tip top to me (wouldn't have bought it otherwise), and my wife and I racked up hundreds of miles on it last week while on vacation. I had read reports that the car is lacking on power, and while it's not the 1970 Boss 302 I owned in 1979, it's got plenty of power for our needs. It's fully stock, and I've only added an XM dock and play radio. I would like to add a HU with bluetooth: holding a cell phone while driving just isn't for me since I added bluetooth to my Jeep a few months ago.

Hi Guys,
This rain is killing me. I need to have that top down! biggrin.gif The black is nice, but shows every speck of dirt. The carpet is black, and it looks dirty one minute after vacuuming. Oh well, just another excuse to give it the attention it deserves. I hate to get out when I come home in the evening........

I hear ya' about the carpet. I am meticulous about my interior. My fiance gets frustrated because I won't allow her to eat in the car and I vacuum it out, use leather wipes and dash wipes at least once a week. I've had a set of brand new OEM Celica floor mats sitting in the hatch for a couple months now cause I'm scared of getting them dirty and the originals are about 75% their original condition and look pretty good once vacuumed. But I'm constantly getting comments on how it looks and smells new inside the car so I guess it's worth it.

I drive past a car wash every day, and most days I vacuum the carpets and mats. It looks nice for a while, and then a single blonde hair can be seen from 5 feet away. biggrin.gif The temps are back up in the 60's for the weekend, we have a new Pioneer AVH-2400BT HU with satellite radio, and miles of scenic roads to ride along before Monday. Maybe we'll take a 50 mile trip along the Delaware River in the morning, and see what's happening in Easton, PA! smile.gif

I installed a Pioneer AVH-2400BT stereo, and a Pioneer satellite radio tuner (under driver's seat) last week. The factory amp and speakers were used, as they are still in fine condition. I didn't take a daylight pic, and don't know why the HVAC controls are showing up as purple. Probably because it's a night shot taken with my cheap cell phone. The satellite tuner was wired to the HU's, with the tuner's massive cable being run through the center console. The satellite antenna was run through the trunk's back panel, and underneath the door sill. The mic went right up the windshield pillar trim, and fit nicely on the edge if the visor near the hinge. I wired a relay for the parking brake, largely because it was easier than trying to find the green/red parking wire. The HU has a slot for DVD's, but will play video through the front usb port. I watched the Corvette chase seen from "Star Trek", and the surround sound effect was excellent! I can't recommend trying to watch a movie while driving, however, and I can't take my eyes off the road even if I wanted to. wink.gif
