What lifters? I have some VVTI sprocket rattle and maybe some belt tensioner rattle also. ZZ engines have solid lifters.

I have some photo's of my overkill basslink mounting. I think you'll enjoy.

There is the 'plus nut' with install tool, pretty simple.

There are the two plus nuts installed into the trunk area, they pass through into the frame of the car through 2 layers of sheet steel and open into a closed area.

4 tee nuts, 1/4x20 thread for bolts to hold the bass link to the board.

And the board in the car.

Overkill much?

My friend who just got his pilots license commented "You know, some things on the planes I fly aren't that well secured"

Yes, here's more since I got to bolted to the board today on lunch.

I think I'll trim the edge there some way or another, make it even easier to get the tire cover in and out.

If I don't give in to RWD, plan on my next car being a 7GC GT-S manual. 24/34 mpg with 180 hp stock, kind of hard to beat really. Like what you've done to your's. thumbsup.gif

BassLink is just right for a 7th gen with stock premium system, fills in the bottom perfectly without being crazy over powering (unless I crank it up too loud).

Oh, hai.

Rear is getting the same treatment.

Don't get too excited, I'm just bolting some parts on. Hell, I raised the front up to about 3 finger gap so I can rack and unrack the car by myself and clear life obstacles. It was at about 2 finger gap in the front, but that's too low for me. I'll probably not match the front and rear wheel gaps, I'll just level the front and rear so it sits like stock did, just lower overall.

It's design looks less out of place 13 years later than the 1994 Celica did after 13 years. Not to mention performance wise it's kept up with the competition.

The only reason the 7th gen doesn't look as out of place is because it's made out of cheap plastics. tongue.gif I had thought about getting a 03-04 GT-S myself, but interests have changed.

Yea, just some bushings and coil overs with a ported manifold, nothing fancy.

No, I think the MK1 MR-2 is a sexy machine. The 6th gen never held my eye, and it's lack luster performance never did. I'd rock a V6 swapped GT though.

I'm with you there... It took me a LONG time to really fall for the 6g. Especially being a 5g guy from the beginning. But there's just something about this car that I cannot explain, even with the 'lack luster performance' it was able to keep up with modified alltracs on the Dragon. If that tells you anything.

Which I know it may not. lol
