....LOL!!!!!!!! This car is about 20 minutes from where I live: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/3406704223.html
I don't know if the seller put their old granny in the car for the sales appeal, or if it was owned by a little old lady. 60K miles is awfully low, and I wouldn't mind having a second '97 vert GT.

Wow that's a beautiful 6gc. I bought mine in May with only 80K miles on it from PA and it's almost just as clean. I was looking for a clean 96+ 5-speed GT Convertible to buy up until 3 weeks ago when I got slapped with the bill for the wedding caterer and the photographer ($3500 for someone to take pictures!, I'm in the wrong line of work!)

Buy it or God will smite you ...

Yeah, I paid $4,000 for my '97 last month, but it's an automatic with 120,000 miles. Runs great, looks new, and the dealer ( real new car dealer wink.gif ) gave me a 3 month/3,000 mile full powertrain warranty. I bet if I showed the red vert to my wife, she'd say go for it.....SERIOUSLY! biggrin.gif

P.S. I just looked at the 10 day forecast, and it's mid 50's all the way. Anything over 50 degrees is top down for me, but I do leave the windows up when it's that cold....and heater on. biggrin.gif My last convertible was an MG Midget back in 1978, and while it was fun, my '97 Celica is light years ahead of it in terms of handling and room (I'm 6'1", and 190lbs). If that Jersey Celica was silver/gray, I'd be over there now.

Damn, I wish I knew you were looking for a photographer. My dad and I do wedding photography. He is a professional photographer and has been doing it for 40+ years. I'm sure he wouldn't charge anything near that.

EDIT: After posting this, I remembered that his equipment got stolen 4 months ago by one of his employed helpers for working on the house. $5000 worth of stuff, gone. frown.gif

On topic: That is a FANTASTIC deal. That GT is loaded if you look at the interior shot. With 60k miles, that thing is a great buy.

The listing was deleted when I looked again this afternoon. I thought maybe someone here called and snagged it.... biggrin.gif

.....and now it's listed again...???? I'm about to show this to my wife for the first time, so standby for a real time reaction. biggrin.gif

And she said, "You get the red one, and I'll use the black one." biggrin.gif Her daily driver is a Jeep Patriot, so either Celica would be a quantum leap on style.

With the condition, mileage and at that price ... I'm surprised it didn't sell with in the first couple hours. I sold my Ducati 998 for significantly less than it was worth and I had it sold like 2 hours after posting it.

50 bucks says it will need a clutch very soon. Just be careful. That happened to me..

My roommate is one of those people.... It gave me a neck ache riding with him in either his SI or his Mazda 3... frown.gif Then he says my car feels wierd because it doesn't shake like his does when I shift... I told him it's "called knowing how to shift properly" and he doesn't understand it.

Some people just don't care.
