QUOTE (SwissFerdi @ Nov 15, 2012 - 5:53 PM) *
^ Ouch. I know that feel, but your situation is rough. What were the speeds you were caught at, and how the **** did it happen again as you were en route to court? Lead foot if I've ever seen it.

First one was 57 in a 35, and I think I may have a legit defense. Second one was 53 in a 40 which is total BS, I was watching my speed but I dont know how Im going to disprove it in court. This tiny town has a cop on every road, with vehicle mounted radar so they can just drive in circles and harrass people.

Im almost for sure gonna get railroaded on both of them but the satisfaction of the city spending obscene amounts of money to get their petty fine is enough motivation for me. If enough people went to court, the court would lack the manpower and resources to hear all the cases, and so cases would get dismissed. Also, cities would spend way more on court fees than they made in ticket revenue, so the cops would simply stop writing speeding tickets.

As for my celica, I installed 4" mids and 8" subs in my doors today, as well as a 300watt amp under the driver seat. In addition, I ordered the plastic clips for the door panels from the dealership.

Finally got the GT-Four running with a replacement stock turbo and it pulls pretty hard! I never got to drive it with a functioning turbo since I bought it but I must say I'm not disappointed at all. Really enjoy it!

Another 6GC drove by my house. Then I noticed it was an auto and a coupe, then I was saddened. Then a Bel Air and two Chevelles drove by, and that made things better.

This weekend, installed a 6gc 3-point steering wheel with the sub-harness adapter, TRD lowering springs, KYB struts, TRD 3-point front strut bar, and a GT-4 rear strut bar.
Today I got an alignment and installed LED instrument cluster lights from Spree.

yeah it is for sale, unless I can sell my vega first which isn't looking good right now. It is the wrong time of year to sell a strip car.
I want to keep it but I need money to move, or quit my job which is 175 miles from where I live now. Jobs for machinists are few and far between
around here right now.

Today, I got rear ended by some teenage girl who was on her phone. She also pushed me into the guy in front of me. Luckily, he had a ratty Mustang with an already beat-up rear bumper and said he already had a new bumper that was just waiting to be painted. Kimiko is mostly fine - just a slightly concave rear bumper, and cracked paint on the front bumper (I think the bumper itself is fine, I barely tapped the front guy). However, I started noticing this slight, odd squeak whenever I release the brakes. Hmm. The number for her insurance that was on her card didn't work, so I let her know and she'll give it to me once she asks her mom.

Kids these days.

I picked up my 6gc from the shop after dropping it off Thursday morning for timing belt, water pump, tensioner and idler pulley. Got 10 min out and had to drive it back. Something is screwed up with it. The nice little undertone of the Injen intake now sounds like a Civic with a PepBoys muffler and what little high RPM range torque it had is now non-existent. If you step on it, it shifts down, the intake screams at me like the mother of all bubble-bees and the powerband falls flat on it's face until it shifts. .... So needless to say, I'm disappointed that I still don't have my Celica.

Sounds like a timing issue, which is why I do that stuff myself so I don't have to pay a mechanic outrageous amounts of monies for the labor charges.
