I just don't have the time to do that kind of involved type of work anymore. The lady and I only have a driveway at our townhouse and all my tools are 40 min away in my parents garage. That takes even more time that I don't have to drive there. Plus I used to work for the garage that did it so he doesn't charge me much labor.

I said it sounded like a timing issue. He said he'd check it out even though he "checked it 4 times".

Trying to decide on what to replace my front seats with. Current seats aren't cutting it, especially the passenger side. Either another set of 6GC seats, that or 7GC or MR2 seats. Tired of feeling all the bumps in the road, and my occasional passenger already has back problems. Though the driver seat doesn't seem that bad padding wise, especially compared to the passenger seat which is completely worn out. I'm guessing the MR2 seats would be best, but not sure. As if it matters, can't find any of them anyway.

7gc seats are always a good option, and jcbass recently wrote a how-to for getting them in the 6th gen with no welding. Njccmd2002 has MR-S seats in his Celica, if you want to search around his posts for those. I've sat in his seats and in a 7th gen and I have to say, both are good choices.

Alright. I guess they're about the same padding wise as the 6GC seats, but being some 5-10 years newer probably goes a long way. I had found a wrecked 7GC awhile back that was being parted out, but I was never messaged back. kindasad.gif

An evening? Are you kidding me? The fiance is up my ass when I try and put an hour into the car during a weekend. If I even ACTED like I was going to work on the car during the evening during "her time" I would never hear the end of it.

Hahahahahaha! One reason I like being single >.< My car is my gf right now. Now if only I could find out a way for it to satisfy other needs... :X

...On that note, I'm seeing a girl that's a gamer, car enthusiast, and actually has good car taste! First thing she said to me was that her dream car was a Subaru WRX STi and that she couldn't stand the pedal feel of some cars clutches... I just about needed new pants after that.

You would probably be better off with 7GC seats, a lot of mr2 owners swap them into their rides, so I a guessing the Celica seats are more comfortable by people's posts.

I am of the firm belief that automotive vandals should be impaled onto the offended car's exhaust piping and scraped along the ground for a good distance.

Its legal to use deadly force to stop someone messing with your car here in Texas. I got woken up at 5am this morning and went outside with my shotgun to investigate, but of course it was just some cats fighting. Nothing will piss you off as much as waking up to find your vehicle vandalized, burglarized or stolen though so my heart goes out to you.

Probably some needle dicks with Hondas. Luckily don't have the kind of problem where I live. Hopefully it cleans up without any damage to the paint.

Agreed

Peppering their ass while theyre running away with #9 bird shot or some shells loaded with rock salt would probably be pretty gratifying as well as being within your legal rights in alot of states. I cant imagine theyd be able to sit in a chair for a while, at least long enough to remind them never to jack with a Toyota and its owner.

I'll stop ranting now biggrin.gif

Today I backed out of my garage and saw this in my neighbor's driveway.

Molded in eBay WRX lights. Epitome of poor taste. I am, however, interested in knowing what else is going on with it - so I might meander over when they're outside and have a peek-see.

*shakes head* Nuh-uh, they're doing too much right there. If you speak to the owner do be cordial...and suggest projectors instead.

PS: The "hipline" of the FR-S looks seriously amazing in the side mirror. thumbsup.gif

Picked up the 68 Impala SS Convertible my Grandfather left for me after he died a few weeks ago. WooHoo! Peace out Grandpa! Thanks for the boat with wheels! I'm either gonna sell it and buy a muscle car more to my liking or drop it and paint it black. Either one will make him roll over in his grave. That's what he gets for always blaming me every time my cousins did something wrong!
