Hey Guys,

I have a GT4 ST205 having trouble putting my car in 1st gear. It grinds and I can feel it everytime. Any suggestions on how I could get it fixed?

Check the transmission fluid level first, its got to be exact, not over or underfilled.

If that doesnt work out you will most likely be needing new syncronizers for 1st gear.


You can try double clutching or NOT double clutching(dont release the clutch in neutral) when you shift, though I cant see how this would help if the car isnt moving.






Are you sure its not the clutch? If the car is not moving and the clutch pedal is depressed, there are zero parts moving inside the transmission, nothing could grind. Are you able to use any other gears? Could you start off in 2nd?

sounds like the clutch is not disengaging.
