to my knowledge... no one has completed a 5s-gte on this celica board.
I don't even know of another 5s-gte celica in the U.S. other than the RWD drag car So i expect you would be the first 5s-gte on this celica forum..... congrats! NOW GET TO WORK... lol -------------------- |

ice man ur doin exactly wat i wanted to do.. im gonna do it no q's about it, but the ever lasting problem prevails, im soooo short on money.. im barely gettin a decent job, maybe now ill start moddin mine. mybe in a couple years mine will be ass tight as yours should be haahaha .. hey man good luck and keep it up i really wanna kno how it turns out!

Thanks dro....your right its cost me a shead load of cash... I dont know what the prices in the U.S are like but ive almost spent 10g's
Little things like new water and oil pumps never seem to come into mine when your looking at pistons and rods.... Good luck on your journey to the world of 5sgte. Keep on it.... looking good these hybrids take alot of work im just waiting on the new CP pistons to come in and reassemble fix the cam problem do some street tuning then break her in with 1500+ miles probably hit 3000 then go to the dyno

well here it is, my 5SGTE. as you can see there is still quite a bit of work to do.

267? 272? You guys are slightly nuts. I'd never throw that agressive of a cam on a 5S unless you want to make max power at like 10,000rpms, which the block isn't designed to do at all.
I'd go with something milder like 9mm of lift and 235 duration. At least that's what I'm gonna shoot for in a few weeks. My friend does cam regrinds... I guess he'd know more about it than me. edit: I didn't realize there was four pages to this thread before I posted. Looks like you're in good shape. Carry on. use the water lines & piping from the 3sgte .it will work with minor hose movment... Trust me!!!

oil filter placement, thev spot where the oil filter is might be tonear to the down pipe. what are you gonna do???

i have an oil filter relocation kit...will post you a pick tonight..
with a lil luck ill have the motor and tranny in tomorrow... ive been shopping about for the right kinda clutch..... ended up with a custom made brass button clutch and 700kg-ft/lb pressure plate.... will post that too... -------------------- 312whp with more to come.... |

Ok.. been busy today. I got the turbo mounted intercooler on and rad fitted....
im trying to find a place for the perma-cool oil cooler.... just having trouble as there is'nt much room. The cooler is a 6 core 14"x5.5"x3" rated to 450hp.... Where can i put it...... tune in tomorrow....for mounting and pics.. -------------------- 312whp with more to come.... |
