QUOTE(99GT @ Sep 30, 2007 - 10:24 PM) Any concerns about boost spikes? boost holds on this car PERFECTLY, anywhere from 5.5psi to 11psi, which is the most i can run with this wastegate spring. gas milage on any boosted car is totally dependant on your right foot. the more you press it, the faster the needle goes down. highway crusing with minimal boost, i can get close to 350-400 miles out of a tank of gas in my car. racing, it can be ALOT less than that. lol -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

my favorite quote from when i had my Supercharged IS
Friend: So how much fun is that car Me: about 9MPG worth so yeah everything is dependant on the go stick. but you can't have a fast car and never get into it. that wouldn't be any fun would it! so.. 240whp on pump gas vs. your 235whp on race gas... why do you think it made more power than yours manny? obviously it's a different turbo, but could just the turbo, bigger intercooler, and slightly larger IC piping really make that difference? I know it's only 5 hp more, but yours was on race gas, your pump gas numebr was like 215 or so wasn't it? which would be 25 more hp... now that's a lot!

QUOTE(99GT @ Oct 4, 2007 - 10:57 AM) Are you/they plan to run that setup at 11 daily? Will internals last long? i dont see a problem with them running @ this boost level for as long as they want to, as long as the turbo holds up. ive been running my setup @ over 12psi for over 2 yrs now, over 30k miles. as long as its tuned, and not knocking itself to peices, the internals are just fine in the 5sfe. especially the newer (98+) blocks. i would think nothing of driving this car, everyday, at this boost level. i've pushed mine ALOT harder than this car will be. now, going up from here, its all new ground. who knows how much more it can take. if it were my car, i would go back, with some race gas in there, and crank the boost up a few more psi, just to see if we've gotten to the limit of what the head can flow, hp wise. dustins (batman722)car will be the one who tells the story on that one, once he gets his cams installed, and the turbo on a while after that. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

I love these threads, great work guys
To anyone that worked on the car, what did you use as ground connection for the ground wire to attach to from the battery. I want to move my battery but still cant find a descent spot to connect the ground wire to. -------------------- JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!

Any way you could post the AFC tune? I actually have a similar turbo and so forth ironically, so that would waaay cut down on the massive expense of this
