WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT.
wow, 2 years, 5sfte powered. i totally forgot about the anniversary. lol ok so, here we are, 2 years later. what have we learned? 5sfe + boost = good just gotta build it right! so, prolly the MOST asked question i get PM'd is: do you have a parts list? well, technicly, no. i have a "basic" list, that every 5sfte owner should modify to fit theyre own needs, or plans. the idea is this: think you see somthing you could make work better? DO IT! if we keep refining the setup, it WILL just keep getting better and more reliable. ok so here we go: the basics: 3sgte (gen 2) exhaust manifold ct-26 twin entry turbo, (from a 90-93 celica alltrac, or 90+ mr2), with oil and water lines stock 3sgte DP (or aftermarket) 3sgte (gen 2) oil pan, preferably from an alltrac, some of the mr2 ones have the oil level sensor, which will need to be blocked off = more work at the MINIMUM, i would say 390cc injectors, i am currently running 460cc injectors from an rx-7, the part # is in my profile (just click the screenname ) a decent front mount intercooler, (no, a stock alltrac, mr2, or DSM intercooler is not "decent") with associated piping, couplers and clamps blow off valve of your choice tuner toys head adapter fitting (for oil feed for turbo) (2) -3an to 1/8npt STEEL male fitting to have welded to the stock oil feed line and for tuner toys fitting ~16-18" -3an stainless braided line (for oil feed) oil filter relocation setup (kit or otherwise) various rubber hose (for water lines for turbo) with clamps SAFCII or emanage or whatever. 2 bar map sensor (alltrac 90-93 mr2T 90+) im sure im missing some stuff, this was just off the top of my head. ill add more with edits as i think of it. lol anyway, to give you an idea,of how she's running, this is a quick vid i threw together for jeff after this past weekends meet @ DWG. this is with defgeph in the other lane, running ~14-15psi, IIRC (3sgteRC swapped) -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

dude..after riding in your car..im seriously wanting to turbo my car now...i think when i start workin in a months time im gonna start workin on buyin the parts for the build up. But seriously manny, your car is f*ckin quick. Its faster then my buddies Skyline GTS-T. But yea, manny, i think you have definatly sparked interest in alot of ppl to turbo their cars.
EDIT: Dont you also need a new MAP sensor to handel the extra pressure from the boost? This post has been edited by Valo666: Jun 12, 2007 - 8:05 PM |

Congrats Manny! you Kick as s!
I had a few quick questions for you, I plan on getting water injection soon, and later go to ATS for their ct27 Turbo/ECU Tune combo... my goal being between 260-270whp. Is their kit worth it? i saw earlier in one of your posts that given a 2nd chance you woulda stayed with ct-26? I would get it dyno tuned as well.... or should i just rebuild my turbo and look for power elsewhere? Thanks For any help, and keep up the good work |

well when i said that, i just meant cost wise.
the ct-27 is expensive, and unless you have a GOOD core, gets even more expensive. on a 3sgte, its a whole diffrent story. gains are larger, cause it can untilize the extra air better. good luck -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Congrats Manny. 5sfte for life well sorta, it will always have a warm place in my heart lol. you prove that if you buy good parts and dont skimp on a good turbo the 5sfte is mean machine, especially with that e-manage, instead of the primitive safc that everyone drooled over years ago. the whole 5sfte idea has definitely evolved.
