How much hp to you actually gain from turboing your 7afe and boosting 7psi? whats the hp per psi? with stock 9.5cr and maybe 9cr??? anyone?

I really wannted to do nos, but i figure, ill look in to turbo too. HP Gain for the money is great for nos though.

I think someone with 7-8 lbs boost was doing 172 whp, dont quote me on it though.

172 is an amazing increase...seems a bit high. but idk.

I know I saw a dyno with 172 as its output, im pretty sure it wasnt over 8 psi.

7AFE + 7PSI = 155-160wHP i'd imagine. 172wHP is too high.

Considering an ST runs about 90wHP stock, I believe 1PSI = 7-10HP.

it was on the board, a dyno of a 7afe turbo it was 172 I KNOW. I know its high, I couldnt beleive it either, but it was a true dyno sheet.

zipstrips is his name, the car was a 5spd and i think 8psi, stock motor/fuel hit 160whp 170fpt. The 7afe actually see's descent gains on small amount of boost.




those are the correct numbers judging by his profile, some odd reason i remember it being higher.

150 WHEEL HP? Thats like 180hp, i think ur getting Wheel and crank mixed up. 172 at the crank is feasible with the necessary components.

The 3sgte is is a bigger engine and 160 to the wheels is around 190 at the crank if not more. The 3s produces 200 at the crank.

it was 172 AT THE WHEELS I know the difference, it was a dyno it was 172 WHP I remember because it amazed me too man, I think it was zip strips not sure though.

What else was done to the motor? Slapping a turbo on a 7afe doesnt produce those figures straight out or else everyone would be doing that instead of a 3s.

Thers more to his car than just a turbo.
