i may come out depending on how soon I get my celica finished. we can compare SDS #s with 3s vs. 7ag...
maybe a mini meet will need to happen after you break in the motor -------------------- 94' ST Coupe - 5sfe Motor swap and brake swap.

I have a question, any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a 94 st as well and my cousin owns a supercharged 1988 1.6L MR2(4AGZE) I like where you are going with your project and would like some advice as far as possible fitment of this head swap..what all do you think it would entail and how much of an investment would it be..also what is the expected power gain..mpg...and reliability..if your unsure its cool...just wondering...o and by the way nice ST

back from the dead
a small recap on being on 6gc.net well i am back to driving this beast daily for the last year now i sold all my other stock cars off to buy my house. still drives great gas mileage is about 20 mpg intown which is what i do 95% of the time since both my jobs are with in 7 miles of my house things that have broken over the last few years are manifold cracked 2 times and has been rewelded a belt tensioner broke after i first started driving it but fixed quick a few misc brackets broke all in all i would not do this again the money i spent was alot and now that im older i think what a waste dont get me wrong i love boost but how this car is makes it kinda a pain in stop and go traffic so hopefully soon ill buy a new car as my DD and pull the motor out to put in a stock looking clean Ae86 to be a autocross/drift car than sell the the celica as a roller to all those who though the c52 was weak its still going strong 5 years later 7agte is a mean motor and was built well thanks to the pro's at f2uning ( there no longer around 2 months after finishing the 7agte the owner died was very sad) This post has been edited by nik: Nov 11, 2010 - 2:52 PM -------------------- yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte

I kinda feel the same way about swaping a 3s in. I look back and i really could've used that money for schooling/tools for work.

I'm older than both of you, and with a stock motor still, and living in Oregon, I look around myself this time of year and think "damn, I REALLY wish I had a Subaru, for the all wheel drive." Then I think how I still really love my car, and start to consider that for what I'd spend on a decent used Subie, I could just completely rip apart my Celica and make it a 3sgte AWD. Then I'd have the best of both worlds.
Hmmm. Decision isn't a hard one to make when you're broke though. -------------------- |
