For the last 2 years or so when ever i put my fan on high, my fan makes a terrible racket and makes my entire dashboard vibrate. I figured the blower motor was bad and would need replacing. Every Friday i get the entire day to work on my car at my shop in college. Any ways, i had some free time after i did my breaks, so i decided to pull off the glove box and look at the blower motor. I pulled off the glove box and i found a random weird looking key wedged behind the box and the mount. So i kinda checked for other stuff and i found a bolt at the bottom of the box between the mount that apparently goes with the OEM baby seat retrainer. Any ways, i kept digging and took the blower motor off, and start seeing somethin strange when i was pulling the blower motor down. So after i got it fully out, i look inside and i find a ladyfinger cookie, some big dust bunnies, peices of news paper from 95 *found a corner peice from the Toronto Star January 5, 1995*..lol, a peice of gum and some leaves. I kinda scratched my head about how all of that could end up in the blower motor, but was more dumfounded by the fact that there was an entire cookie down there..lol. So i reconnected every thing, put it all back together, connected the battery and tried it out. Complete difference. No more vibration, fan blows 100X better, even at lower motor speed it blows alot better. Any ways, if any one else has the same problem, vibration, noise, etc, pull the motor out and check out whats in the fan its self.

QUOTE(laff09 @ Jun 1, 2007 - 6:42 PM) Tell me you ate the cookie... LMAO...no..the cookie was black from dirt. I didnt know what it was a cookie, it looked like a chunk of plastic or something. My friend took it and pryed it apart with his knife. It was sooooo freakin hard and nasty. One of my friends said he woulda ate it if we gave him $50, but we could only get $35 together..lol |

LOL. My fan kinda makes bearing type sound at lower speeds but maybe it just needs to be cleaned. How difficult was it to get out, was it pretty simple or did you actually need a manual to figure out where all the stuff was?

All i did was take off the glove box, helt in by like 5 or 6 screws, dropped the box, then the blower motor is located right above the passanger side kick pannel. Its held in by 3 5/16 bolts. Undo thouse, fight with it to get it past the fuse pannel, and its out. I didnt undo the connection when i took it out, but you can if you wanna service it a bit more. The screws for the glove box are 3 or 4 on the top just along the same line as the latch, theres one on the left down by the foot well, and 1 behind the kick pannel.
