i finally got my game in the mail today from Hong Kong. this is my second purchase since the mail man lost the first one and unfortunately since it wasn't insured, i got screwed.
anyway, it plays straight up with a north american PSP though everything's in japanese. it's basically the arcade game version 3 but with upgrade cards and wireless link battle modes and some extra goodies. below are some pics of my red celi... Varis Arising-II C-ONE sorry for the blurry pics but still have yet to uncover other aftermarket parts and pieces in the game... this game will be perfect for those long bus rides to the university.. -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

that looks pretty sweet. do you have to know japanese to play the game? or can you just wing it and look at the pictures and guess and what-not?

knowing the arcade game really helps.. i was clueless at first but once i've played around with each section out to find out what's going on. then you kinda get the hang of it and becomes pretty easy..
i got it from eBay -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

i suck at that game but the only reason y i have a card for the arcade version is becuase i can drive what looks like my car. especially cus i have the gt4 hood bumer and fenders on my car now woot woot.
also for all you gameboy ppl out there theres a game call GT Advanced 3 and in it is a gt4 in various colors. |

it runs on firmware 2.6 (that's what i have). when you go into Game --> UMD. below it there's a 2.6 version upgrade icon. so i'm guessing it'll only work with v2.6 or higher..

i jus picked up street supremacy, pretty cool game, made by the creator of toyko extreme racer and is pretty much the same thing as tokyo, battles are the first to pull away or theres a finish line a long ways down the high way, sucks no free roam but the game still looks good, they gave it a bad review cause no free roam and its kinda set up like a racing rpg, since u have to win battles and stuff, but great game looks good and u can hook up over 20 cars, including supra, sti, skyline, 86 corolla, rx8, 180sx etc.

the gameplay is good... steering is very sensitive.. PSPs have pressure sensitive controls so if you push the d-pad all the way down, you'll steer hard and out of control.. but it really helps when you go through sharp hairpin turns. although, it'll take a while to get used to the controls..
everything else is pretty much the same as the arcade game. steering is just the hardest part of it all. on a side note, i'm stuck at Keisuke (yellow FD) in Akagi race hill right now and frick, he's too damn fast! the guy's like 3x harder than the other racers... -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
