Please specify which utensils you are bringing. Are you bringing forks, knives and spoons? Or just forks, or just spoons. Please elaborate.

Also, what kind of buns are you bringing?

One more thing, there will be no Alcohol PERIOD at this meet. And there are a few more things that still need to be worked out.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

I went to the location today to get some answers to my questions and things don't look so good (I called, their office doesn't pick up, so I just drove there).

First, I don't think the Windy Cove parking lot/picnic area will be open to the public. As far as I can tell, all signs point to it being CLOSED on January 16th. There is an adjacent campsite, which might be an option. But it's going to be $8 a car (self-registration of course, so it's really up to you if you want to pay the $8). We'll just take up adjacent camping sites so we can all park together. There's also another campsite/picnic area ~3 miles away which would better accommodate our meet. This one has an $5 self-registration fee, but has a proper grill/table area that can seat all of us. So on the morning of the meet, plan to arrive at the DESIGNATED location at Windy Cove. One of us will be there to give you instructions on how to get to the REAL meet location. I'll post up maps so you can also do your own research beforehand.

Second, the campsite doesn't have adequate seating for 20+ people, so please be advised to bring a folding/collapsible chair if you got one.

Third, it's cold. Like 49 degrees cold. Overcast too. Forecast on Jan16th will be morning clouds, partly sunshine. Wear a sweater or a jacket and a beanie if you have one. Gloves too.

Fourth, it gets dark quickly after 4:30. By 5pm, it will be too dark to do anything and we'll probably be asked to leave by the camp host.

Fifth, there will be tolls for those coming from the west or south (San Francisco/Fresno). So bring about $20 in cash (the toll is only $4, but for those coming from San Francisco, we got the Bay Bridge to worry about too).

Sixth, the roads are narrow and the speed is limited to 55mph in the main highway. Roads to the other campsite are even narrower and have a speed limit of 15 to 25 MPH.

Seventh, no alcohol. Period. The entire place have signs posted that say no alcohol is permitted. So don't bring any.

*sigh*, next time we will have a meet in a more meet-friendly location...this one is neat and all, but such a headache...

Sorry, but it's the rules of the campsites and picnic areas. I assume they'll call the cops if they see any of us drinking alcohol.

firstly...

i'm good with the no drinking as i don't anyway, i'm ok with the change in location, i'm ok with the tolls and the drive but i'm a little worried about statement number six, i quote...

Sixth, the roads are narrow and the speed is limited to 55mph in the main highway. Roads to the other campsite are even narrower and have a speed limit of 15 to 25 MPH.

and the reason is, i have 2.5 to 3 inchs of ground clearance and narrow roads are usually not well kept, since you have been there what were the roads like? i'm still coming but if you could tell me in advance so i can be prepered, i always drive defensivly but i don't want co come around a corner and get a nasty suprise. thanks

secondly...

this one is for Benzo and Aznbcrzy, what time you guys leaving Fresno so i can plan on meeting up with you guys to drive up.

You don't have to be worried about ground clearance. The roads, while not the best, are paved. They are rough, but again, nothing that you should be concerned about. There are no blind turns, you'll see any car coming from the other direction and as long as the both of you slow down, you'll make it pass fine. And there aren't any pot holes to worry about. The only reason I bring that up (narrow roads and speed limit) is that you can EASILY driver off the side of the road and end up in the river. Seriously. I saw at least one cross/flower memorial around the island where someone probably went too fast and drove off the road, flipped, and ended in the water. Also, it was to warn people against driving like idiots. This place isn't a place you want to speed. But as far as having a lowered car, don't worry. I drove my Lexus there and I never once worried about scraping my car on anything.
