I believe you could say I did something very similar to that and it now runs so rich it will barely run. Important thing to keep in mind - I upgrade the injectors to 680's....seems like way too much fuel. I took the stock wiring and connected all blues and all grounds to stock wiring. I will try and get a pic of it and post it up to show you.

You cant just put it 680cc injectors on a car that was programed to run 550s.

Unless you run E85

Fuel type has nothing to do with it. Factory ecu is programmed to operate at certain duty cycles for 550cc injector. Simply throwing in bigger injectors will mess up your idle, cruise, and wot fuel maps.

Perhaps you should do some research before you start barking.

1. he installed 680cc injectors
2. the car is not running correctly .

Even if you were to put e85 in the tank, It still wouldn't run correctly. Different fuels have different stoich values. If you put in e85 and %20 bigger injectors, you might get some impressive dyno pulls, but the car will start up, idle and cruise poorly because the factory ecu will still try to do everything it can to maintain a stoich value for a different type of fuel. Any time you upgrade the injectors or change fuel types, you need to be able to reprogram the ecu to accommodate for the change.

Suggesting that any car that has changes to the fuel system or any breathing mod can benefit from tuning is well....rather elementary. Your sentence which I have set forth in bold is what I was referencing in my post and is most certainly incorrect.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

It runs badly because I also upgraded the injectors and am upgrading the turbo at the same time.

My plan was to go with a Garrett t3/t4, the larger injectors, upgraded regulator, external wastegate (I have a 44mm), and the F-Con (like this http://cgi.ebay.com/JDM-HKS-F-CON-V-FCON-M...7QQcmdZViewItem )

My Goal was around 375 hp to the ground.

Sitting on the ground running, but not tuned. I have the Power Fc and am trying to have a friend help with the setup. I am trying to get help programming the advanced mapping for the t3/t4, the 680 injectors and the FMIC. Hopefully I can figure it out and get it running right. My plan is to show it up in Long Beach at ToyotaFest. Drivetrain seems to be a success, but I haven't been able to run the car on it as it runs way rich and won't stay running at idle.

Man buy a wideband, the wideband is your best friend when you are tuning on fuel and changing injectors.

+1 any half descent tuner will remove your O2 sensor and fit a wide band when tuning the car up....it is well worth the investment...they arnt that expensive anymore either.

When I said tuning...I was looking for a map for the power FC to get me close. I have figured it out a little and it at least runs and I have driven it down the street without fear of blowing it up. I have a base map in the power fc and the 680 injectors in. I have a a guy that is supposed to tune (using wideband as everyone stated) because I can't get it to rev past 4.5k rpm. I think the top end of my map is off, but will have to wait for him to help. Anybody on here know how to tune a Power FC and is located near Oceanside, CA?

I have a file that I was trying to up load, but it won't save on flickr. Can someone tell me where I can load this so everyone can see it at least runs under its own power? I would even e-mail it out if necessary.
