hey manny,

dan, im lucky enough to have my supervisor let me borrow a sweet Sata Mini Jet to spray with. its an EXCELLENT spot gun, does a GREAT JOB.
im using sherman williams ultra 7000 base coat, and theyre spot clear. im using the spot clear in the jams, cause it dries nice and fast.

Nice work Manny, sweet project can't wait until your finished.
My question is, how much have you spent so far on this project?

at the end, it will end up costing me ~1275$ to have it all done.
the rear wheelwells were 250$ to have fixed.
painting the outside of the car, with all the parts ( bumpers, mirrors, doorhandles, extensions, sideskirts, ect) off the car will cost 850$ to have done.
the extra 125$ is for air line supplies (filter and condensation remover and mask) to do all the jams, sanding the car, and bodywork, not including paint, which i got from work.
for how the car will look when its done, and all the work i did on the sideskirts @ work, it will end up being WELLLLL worth it.
ill have a few more pics later today, looks like shes going in for paint TUESDAY!!!!!!!! smile.gif

well, all, here is what will more than likely be the final set of pics that i post before the car goes in for paint.
since i have access to some diffrent kinda crap at work, after i fixed my sideskirts, and preped the front and rear extensions, i decided to try a little somthing on them.
if you all notice, on the lower section of your cars, on the rocker panels, there is a "textured" material, which is then painted over.
that stuff is called "chip gaurd". it helps protect the lower section of the car from rock chips ect.
we have this stuff @ work, so i taped off the lower section of the skirts and extensions, and the part of them that sits in the wheelwell, and sprayed them with it.
i think it looks awesome, and once its painted, will give all those parts a VERY oem, dealer installed type look.
and as a bonus, it will actually be functional, and help stop all the nicks and chips that happen on the rear extensions, and front part of the sideskirts thats in the wheelwell.
here are a few pics of how they look now, pre-paint.

and here are a few final pics of the car being sanded.

all thats left now, is sand the wing, and a few small touches on the car.
as it looks now, she goes in tuesday or wensday, depending on how buzy we are @ work.

next set of pics will be in new paint!!!!! HEHEHEHEHEHEHE

woot.gif I can't wait till tuesday.
The chip guard is a great idea, should be a lot more
resistant to chipping.
