Nice work dude.
Any pro tips on painting the gt4 front bumper?
Mine is starting to flake and chip, badly. Im going to go back to the shop and see if they will warranty it. It looks like they didn't put any flexing agent (or whatever the stuff is called) into the paint.

it really just depends on what they use art.

the stuff we use is sherwinwilliams, ultra 7000 line ( theyre higher end stuff) and the reducer actually has a flex agent right in it.
the thing is, with the way toyota preps theyre bumpers, they have no primer or anything on them. they just need to be scuffed well with a grey scuff pad, and most importantly sprayed with a adhesion promotor before any paint gets put on it.

Yeah, so it sounds like they skipped on the adhesion promoter.

So, if this is step one, I'm guessing step two is the engine swap??? I mean, we all know you skipped out on the turbo idea, and I think your exterior is pretty complete now. What's up??

thank you for the replys

since Manny let the cat out of the bag I'll post some more pics smile.gif
Like he said he painted the entire car about a year ago and he just did the hood and bumper (and blended into the fenders) this time around.
I replaced the US crash bar & brackets with the st205 ones and also cut out the US upper bumper support and he welded in the st205 upper bumper support so the bumper would fit 100% better.

quick phone pic

We did this and then the next day the car went for paint.
I picked it up on Saturday morn and re assembled.

and some more pics from yesterday.

after I took these pics I did some more adjustments to the front end to make it line up 100%, I'll take some more pics today, tomorrow, the day after, ect biggrin.gif

this is step one, and step 2 is not projectors or turbo my 5s or a 185 swap... I'll post up about it when it's complete
