Lots of good ones mentioned here... Pulp Fiction, The Dark Knight, Fight Club... funny, I don't own any of those on DVD yet. (I'm not big on buying movies when I have a DVR) but there's one that seriously, every time I catch it on, I always wind up watching all the way through when I meant to only watch "just this one scene" - Forrest Gump. IDK why, but I LOVE that damn movie!

The Green Mile, Rocky Horror Picture Show, There's Something About Mary, Shawshank Redemption, Schindler's List, Apocalypse Now, Saving Private Ryan, Full Metal Jacket, Fargo, Office Space, The Exorcist, Poltergeist, and probably a few others I'm not thinking of.

Only one movie? That's difficult.

Mallrats biggrin.gif

I just watched that on TV for the millionth time the other day - love it along with Clerks (original one) smile.gif

Aliens is up there in the top 5, but for me there are too many to pick just one.

If I could have only one then I'll just go for The Empire Strikes Back.

I recently watched Network (1976) and it's really brilliant & so damn relevant even 30+ yrs later today.
truly much, much more than the "I'm mad as hell & I'm not gonna take this anymore!" quote frequently shown from the film.

I was gonna say the exact same thing however I don't think you can really classify the Trilogy in with other movies - it's not a fair comparison biggrin.gif [And yes - I'm with KS on this one - there is only one Trilogy and it's not of the rings it's of the Jedi laugh.gif ]

I think my favorite movie is Kontroll

It's in Hungarian though so you need English subs unless you understand Hungarian... lol.

Oh I should add Soylent Green, too. Total cult classic. And Alice's Restaurant - but I'm only adding that for extreme hippy value, it falls into the cult cheese genre for me. I think the only person on this board who will get that is axelrduvirage though biggrin.gif
