Okay. So I ran a CEL reader and it says my car is misfiring? When the car is running okay? The idling is not rough but it boggles a bit but nothing major. I'm thinking it's idling like that because of dirty TB. What I have my spark plug firing order set up is;
FACING THE ENGINE Cylinders: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 FACING THE DISTRIBUTOR CLOCK WISE: 1 - 2 - 4 -3 COUNTER CLOCKWISE: 1 - 3 - 4 - 2 Can someone let me know if I have the correct firing order? I just want to double check. I searched online and they all said 1 - 3 - 4 - 2. I'm pretty sure how you read it is starting from the bottom left of the distributor going counter clockwise. Right? That's how I read it. This post has been edited by ILoveMySilly97: May 11, 2012 - 11:33 PM -------------------- |

The distributor is located on the back side of the engine, so it spins the opposite direction of the crankshaft. Firing order is 1342 and the eninge rotates clockwise from the front, but it rotates 1243 clockwise or 1342 counterclockwise on the distributor.

Might be a loose plug or wire then. -------------------- |

As you can see from that diagram, you dont need to know the firing order. You just need to match up the numbers on the distributor with cylinders 1,2,3,4 from left to right. If you match up the plug wire that says 3 to the second cylinder, you will have problems.
