How do you guys go about repairing a leak that is coming from the plastic holding in the windshield. I want for a automatic car wash today and noticed that it was raining inside my car when the machines went around it.

Do you have a sunroof, and are you SURE it's comming from there?

My sunroof leaked and it would come out around the floor of the passinger's side and around the top of the door and windshield.

Oh and Jaws I couldn't see it drip down either, It would just gather in the passinger's side, I thought there was a leak in the door, or window.

I don't have a sunroof. It seems to be coming from the panels that surround the windshield. Im guessing I left it in the garage during summer and it probbaly expaned some of the rubber holding the glass and frame together. I just want to know how I can go about repairing it cause it looks nasty.

what about some slicone that plumers use just to seal it up. you can get clear so you won't see it. Unless you go buy the whole seal new from toyota, but im sure that will be expen$ive

mines seems to come right off. I mean not the whole panel, but I can get access to the leaking part at least I think I can. It's right next to the windshield. I can't seem why it would still leak tho, but if I don't fix it soon my car might flood when it rains.

Thank you! What was so difficult about it? cuz i'm not sure if thats the problem or not... What all signs did you find that led you to think it was the sunroof??

well at first i thought it was something with the seal on the door because it was leaking on the floor. there was one time when i Parked on a hill with the nose of my car facing up and it rained all day at work, when i went to go down the hill with the nose facing down all the water that was not draining out and was filling up came out the sun roof and i got soaked.

It had never done that before i was always leaking just on the floor, i got mad and i ripped out the panel and found that stupid hose.

Ah, its raining like crazy right now. So out to the celica I went and found that its leaking from this metal clip thingy that holds the windshield in place with the rubber seal. Going to have to go and buy some sealent to fix the sucker tomorrow after school. If that doesn't work, I might have to seal it also from the outside of the car.
