well time for more nice updates... got rid of the disgusting fabric the idiots chose ...

its now where it belongs!!!

so what happened?

this

plus this

plus this

minus a little bit of this

I dont want to hear why u used those fasteners?

They are easy to take off, put on and ive been riding them on 3 years now... Those hog clips can go to hell for all i care. its called weight reduction also, couple of grams actually.

final pics? not yet but some to start with.. is 100 degress, doing one by one, not killing myself...

and the bottom installed...

I got these from a seller in ebay, and made a custom order, for mr2 seats in the front and celica in the back. I originally wanted perforated leather inserts, but i was sent the wrong order. I got only celica seats. He corrected my order and then sent me the mr2 seats, and i got these leftover

the fitment is good, is not superb, but it looks much better.. I did not get my perforated but in the end its ok, it will only be temporary... I like cloth better, but that will come later...

It only requieres s few trimmings as you see above... Its not real leather.....

only one more time

thanks for all the good comments guys but, im not done....

i did the front seat today, passenger side, wont do the driver until i get a/c done in it...

these were tricky because i had to improvise, as the bottom did not come with the oem plastic but i managed it....

then the bottom

i needed the plastic from the oem cloth one..

put it back on the metal to avoid sharp edges....

then i used wire hangers to use as metal inserts...

drill some holes

put it back together...

and installed this beauty....

im still not over not getting the perforated inserts...

So wait, you got the front seat covers for the Celica for free? The guy didn't make you send them back?

I'd be upset too... Keeping a set of seat covers for seats you don't have doesn't make up for anything. I love the progress you make with this car though. It's always something good. If you ever decide to sell those seat covers, let me know. Then maybe my car can have a fraction of the cleanliness that yours does.

Well thats a brand new carpet, the original carpet did not have that, so that probably was something that was later revised. I dont mind it because it add strength and is not visible.

I see. Other people remove the stock floor mat and that part usually gets worn/torn in time. That part is to prevent that happening i guess. Is the material leather?
